1. Product Overview

The Shark StainStriker HairPro is a portable spot and stain remover designed for effective stain elimination and powerful suction. It features dual-activated cleaning solutions and HairPro Technology for handling deeply embedded hair without clogging. This unit is suitable for carpets, upholstery, area rugs, and car interiors.

2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury. Read all instructions before using this appliance.

• Always unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet before cleaning or servicing.

• Do not use without tanks in place.

4. Setup

4.1 Filling the Clean Water Tank

1. Remove the clean water tank from the main unit.
2. Unscrew the cap and fill the tank with water up to the 'WATER' fill line.
3. Add Shark CarpetXpert Deep Clean Pro solution up to the 'CONCENTRATE' fill line.
4. Securely replace the cap and reinsert the tank into the main unit.

4.2 Filling the OXY Multiplier Tank

1. Remove the OXY Multiplier tank from the main unit.
2. Unscrew the cap and fill the tank with Shark StainStriker OXY Multiplier solution up to the 'MAX FILL' line.
3. Securely replace the cap and reinsert the tank into the main unit.

The StainStriker features a dual-activated solution system that automatically mixes the two cleaning solutions inside the handheld tool, providing enhanced stain-striking power without the need for pre-mixing.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 General Spot Cleaning

1. Plug the unit into a power outlet.
2. Select the appropriate cleaning tool for the stain type and surface.
3. Position the tool over the stain. Press the trigger to spray the cleaning solution onto the stain.
4. Gently scrub the stain with the tool's bristles to loosen dirt and debris.
5. Release the trigger and tilt the tool to allow the powerful suction to extract the dirty solution and lifted mess.
6. Repeat steps 3-5 until the stain is removed and the area is clean.

5.2 HairPro Technology for Pet Hair and Odors

The HairPro Technology is specifically designed to pick up deeply embedded hair without clogging the system or tangling in the hand tool's bristles. This makes it ideal for pet owners to tackle pet stains, odors, and hair from carpets and upholstery.

5.3 Specialized Tools

• Mini Stain Eliminator: Ideal for hard-to-reach areas like couch corners and between cushions.
• 3.5" Stain Eliminator: Features reversible bristles for tackling tough spots and stains on various surfaces.
• 7" XL Stain Eliminator: Designed for larger surfaces such as area rugs and furniture, reducing cleaning time.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Emptying and Cleaning the Dirty Water Tank

1. After each use, remove the dirty water tank from the main unit.
2. Open the tank lid and carefully pour out the dirty water.
3. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water. The tank filter separates liquid and hair for easier disposal.
4. Allow the tank to air dry completely before reassembling.

6.2 On-Board Self-Cleaning Feature

The unit includes an on-board self-cleaning feature to clean the tools and hose. Simply click the hand tool into the designated self-wash cycle port on the main unit and activate the cycle. This will flush water and cleaning solution through the entire system, ensuring it remains clean and odor-free.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Shark StainStriker HairPro, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

• No Power: Ensure the unit is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check the circuit breaker if necessary.
• No Spray: Verify that both the clean water tank and OXY Multiplier tank are correctly filled and seated. Check for any clogs in the spray nozzle.
• Poor Suction: Ensure the dirty water tank is not full and is properly installed. Check the hose and tools for any blockages. The HairPro technology is designed to minimize hair clogs.
• Leaking: Confirm all tanks and caps are securely fastened. Inspect the hose and connections for any damage.
