3. Setup
Battery Installation:
- Ensure the hedge trimmer is turned off and the trigger is disengaged.
- Align the ribs on the battery pack with the grooves in the tool's battery port.
- Slide the battery pack into the tool until it clicks securely into place.
- To remove, press the battery release button and pull the battery pack out.
Note: This product is a 'Tool Only' item. Battery and charger are sold separately. Use only compatible 18V batteries.
4. Operating Instructions
Starting and Stopping:
- To start the hedge trimmer, ensure the battery is installed. Grasp the rear handle firmly and depress the trigger.
- To stop, release the trigger.
Trimming Techniques:
For best results, use a smooth, sweeping motion. Avoid forcing the blades through thick branches. The 24-inch dual-action blades are designed for efficient cutting of hedges, bushes, and shrubs up to 3/4 inch in diameter.

The integrated HEDGESWEEP Remover helps clear clippings from the top of hedges as you trim, maintaining a clear view of your work area and reducing cleanup time.
5. Maintenance
Blade Care:
- After each use, remove the battery pack and clean the blades with a stiff brush to remove debris.
- Apply a light coat of machine oil or blade lubricant to the blades to prevent rust and ensure smooth operation.
- Inspect blades for damage or dullness. Sharpen or replace as needed by a qualified service technician.
General Cleaning and Storage:
- Wipe down the exterior of the tool with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use strong detergents or solvents.
- Store the hedge trimmer in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children.
- Store the battery pack separately in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
