Maintenance
The BITIWEND Chime Extender Kit requires minimal maintenance. Keep the units clean by wiping them with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the receiver is plugged into a stable power source and the transmitter's battery is functional.
Troubleshooting
- No Sound from Receiver:
Ensure the receiver is properly plugged into a working wall outlet. Check the volume settings on the receiver and in the Blink app. If the issue persists, try resetting the system as described below.
- Intermittent Signal:
The signal range can be affected by thick walls, metal objects, or other radio devices. Try repositioning the receiver closer to the doorbell or in a more open area. Ensure there are no large obstructions between the transmitter and receiver.
- Resetting and Re-pairing:
If you experience connection issues, try resetting the system and re-pairing the units:
- On the receiver, press and hold the "up" or "down" button until you hear a sound.
- Press and hold the volume button until you hear a tone.
- Within 5 seconds, activate your Blink doorbell to correctly pair the system.
- Blink Doorbell Not Activating Chime Extender:
Verify that your Blink doorbell is a 1st or 2nd generation model and is configured for wired operation. Ensure the wiring connections to the transmitter are secure. Confirm that the Blink app settings are correctly configured for the chime extender.
