Operating Instructions
Opening the Umbrella
- Ensure the umbrella base is stable and fully weighted.
- Locate the crank handle on the main pole. Turn the crank handle clockwise to extend the canopy.
- Continue cranking until the canopy is fully open and taut. Do not force the crank beyond its natural stopping point.
360° Rotation
- Locate the foot pedal at the base of the main pole.
- Press down firmly on the foot pedal to unlock the rotation mechanism.
- Gently rotate the umbrella canopy to the desired position to follow the sun's movement.
- Release the foot pedal to lock the umbrella securely in place.

The 360° rotation feature allows for optimal shade adjustment.
Infinite Tilt Adjustment
- Locate the tilt handle on the main pole.
- Push or pull the handle to adjust the canopy angle to block direct sunlight.
- Release the handle to lock the canopy at the desired tilt position.

The crank control allows for easy and precise tilt adjustment.
Closing the Umbrella
- Ensure the canopy is in the upright (not tilted) position before closing.
- Turn the crank handle counter-clockwise to retract the canopy.
- Once the canopy is fully closed, secure it with the integrated strapping tape to prevent it from unraveling or catching wind.

Maintenance
General Care
- Canopy Cleaning: Clean the canopy regularly with a soft brush, mild soap, and lukewarm water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow it to air dry completely before closing or storing. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Frame Inspection: Periodically inspect the aluminum frame and all hardware for any signs of wear, corrosion, or loose connections. Tighten any loose screws or bolts as necessary.
- Mechanism Care: Keep the crank and tilt mechanisms clean and free of dirt or debris. If the mechanism becomes stiff, a silicone-based lubricant can be applied sparingly to the moving parts.
Storage
- Always close and secure the umbrella with the strapping tape when not in use or during adverse weather conditions.
- For prolonged storage, especially during off-season or winter months, it is recommended to remove the canopy from the frame and store both in a dry, protected area to extend their lifespan.
- Consider using a protective outdoor umbrella cover (not included) to shield the umbrella from elements when not in use.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Umbrella is unstable or wobbles. | Base not sufficiently weighted; loose connections; uneven surface. | Ensure the sandbag weights are filled with at least 220 lbs of wet sand. Verify all assembly hardware is securely tightened. Place the umbrella on a flat, level surface. |
| Crank mechanism is stiff or difficult to operate. | Dirt or debris in mechanism; lack of lubrication. | Clean the mechanism to remove any obstructions. Apply a silicone-based lubricant to the moving parts. |
| Canopy does not open or close smoothly. | Obstructions; tangled fabric; tilt mechanism engaged. | Check for any objects or fabric caught in the mechanism. Ensure the tilt mechanism is disengaged before attempting to open or close. |
| Canopy fabric appears faded over time. | Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. | While the canopy is UV-resistant, continuous exposure can cause fading. Close and secure the umbrella when not in use to minimize sun exposure. |
