1. Introduction

The Miroir Drivvplay is a 7-inch portable display designed to bring Wireless Carplay and Android Auto functionality to your vehicle. This device offers a convenient and safe way to access navigation, music, calls, and other smartphone features directly on its touch screen, integrating with your car's audio system. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, and maintenance of your Drivvplay unit.

2. What's in the Box

3. Setup

3.1. Mounting the Device

The Drivvplay unit can be mounted on your dashboard or windshield using the provided accessories.

  1. Choose a Location: Select a position that does not obstruct your view of the road or interfere with vehicle controls. Ensure the location allows for easy access to the touch screen.
  2. Clean the Surface: Thoroughly clean the chosen mounting surface with a suitable cleaner to ensure optimal adhesion.
  3. Attach the Mount:
    • Suction Cup Mount: Press the suction cup firmly against the cleaned surface and engage the locking lever.
    • 3M Adhesive Strip: Peel the protective backing from the 3M strip and firmly press the mount onto the cleaned surface for at least 30 seconds. Allow sufficient time for the adhesive to cure before attaching the device.
  4. Secure the Drivvplay Unit: Attach the Drivvplay display to the mounted bracket. Ensure it is securely fastened and adjust the viewing angle as needed.

3.2. Power Connection

Connect the provided Power Cable to the Drivvplay unit and then plug the other end into your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket). The device will typically power on automatically when the vehicle's ignition is turned on.

3.3. Audio Connection to Car Stereo

To output audio from the Drivvplay to your car's stereo system, choose one of the following methods:

  • AUX Cable: Connect the supplied AUX Audio Cable from the Drivvplay's AUX output to your car stereo's AUX input. Select the AUX source on your car stereo.
  • FM Transmitter: The Drivvplay can transmit audio wirelessly to your car stereo via FM radio. On the Drivvplay, select the FM Transmitter option and choose an unused FM frequency. Tune your car stereo to the same FM frequency.
  • Bluetooth: If your car stereo supports Bluetooth audio input, you may be able to pair the Drivvplay directly with your car stereo. Refer to your car stereo's manual for Bluetooth pairing instructions.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Powering On/Off

The Drivvplay typically powers on automatically with your vehicle's ignition. To manually power off, press and hold the power button (if available) or disconnect the power cable. To power on, reconnect the power cable or start your vehicle.

4.2. Wireless Carplay and Android Auto Connection

The Drivvplay supports wireless connection for both Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

  1. Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi: On your smartphone, ensure both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled.
  2. Pair with Drivvplay: On the Drivvplay screen, navigate to the Carplay or Android Auto connection menu. Your phone should detect the Drivvplay via Bluetooth. Select the Drivvplay from your phone's Bluetooth device list to initiate pairing.
  3. Confirm Connection: Follow any on-screen prompts on both your phone and the Drivvplay to confirm the connection. Once paired, the Drivvplay will automatically connect to Carplay or Android Auto wirelessly via Wi-Fi for subsequent uses.

4.3. Bluetooth Connectivity (for hands-free calling and music streaming)

Beyond Carplay/Android Auto, the Drivvplay can connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth for basic functions.

  1. Enable Bluetooth: Ensure Bluetooth is active on your smartphone.
  2. Scan for Devices: On the Drivvplay, go to the Bluetooth settings and initiate a scan for new devices.
  3. Pair Device: Select your smartphone from the list of available devices on the Drivvplay screen. Confirm the pairing code if prompted.
  4. Functions: Once paired, you can use the Drivvplay for hands-free calling and streaming audio directly from your phone.

4.4. USB Port Functionality

The integrated USB port can be used for:

  • Charging: Connect your smartphone or other USB-powered devices for charging.
  • USB Device Connection: In some configurations, the USB port may support connection to USB storage devices for media playback. Refer to the device's on-screen interface for specific compatibility.

4.5. AirPlay and Mirror Link

The Drivvplay supports Wireless AirPlay and Mirror Link functionalities, allowing you to mirror your smartphone's screen directly onto the Drivvplay display. Access these features through the device's main menu and follow the on-screen instructions for connection.

4.6. Touch Screen Operation

The 7-inch display is a touch screen. Navigate menus, select applications, and control functions by tapping, swiping, and pinching (where applicable) on the screen, similar to a smartphone.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1. Device Does Not Power On

  • Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the Drivvplay and the vehicle's 12V power outlet.
  • Check if the vehicle's 12V power outlet is functioning (e.g., by plugging in another device).
  • Verify the vehicle's ignition is on.

7.2. No Audio Output to Car Stereo

  • AUX: Confirm the AUX cable is fully inserted and your car stereo is set to the AUX input source.
  • FM Transmitter: Ensure the Drivvplay and your car stereo are tuned to the exact same, clear FM frequency. Try a different frequency if there is static.
  • Bluetooth: Verify the Drivvplay is successfully paired with your car stereo and the car stereo is set to Bluetooth audio input.
  • Check the volume levels on both the Drivvplay and your car stereo.

7.3. Carplay/Android Auto Not Connecting Wirelessly

  • Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your smartphone.
  • Delete any previous Bluetooth pairings for the Drivvplay on your phone and attempt to re-pair.
  • Restart both your smartphone and the Drivvplay unit.
  • Ensure your phone's operating system is up to date.

7.4. Touch Screen Unresponsive

  • Restart the Drivvplay unit.
  • Ensure the screen is clean and free of debris or moisture.
