3. Setup
3.1 Mounting the Taillight
- Identify a suitable location on your bicycle's seat post. The mounting bracket is designed for seat post installation.
- Secure the mounting bracket to the seat post using the provided elastic band. Ensure the bracket is firmly attached and angled correctly so the light will face directly backward.
- Align the taillight with the grooves on the mounting bracket.
- Insert the taillight into the bracket and rotate it 90 degrees until it locks securely into place. There are two nubs in the mount that engage with recessed areas on the light.

3.2 Initial Charge
Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the taillight. Refer to the 'Charging' section for detailed instructions.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
- To turn on the taillight, press and hold the power button for 2 seconds.
- To turn off the taillight, press and hold the power button for 2 seconds again.
4.2 Switching Lighting Modes
Once the taillight is on, click the power button to cycle through the available lighting modes. The CY110 features four-position mode adjustment. The specific modes may include constant, various flashing patterns, and breathing flash.

4.3 Smart Brake Sensing Function
The taillight is equipped with a smart sensor that detects deceleration. When braking or slowing down, the light will automatically increase its brightness by approximately 20% for 5 seconds to provide a clear warning to vehicles behind you. This feature is most noticeable and effective in flashing or breathing modes. In constant-on mode, the brightness boost may be less apparent.

Figure 4: The taillight senses braking and increases brightness for 5 seconds.
4.4 Intelligent Sleep and Vibration Wakeup
To conserve battery, the taillight features an intelligent sleep mode:
- If the bicycle remains stationary for 30 seconds, the taillight will enter a dormant (hibernation) state.
- Upon detecting vibration or movement, the light will automatically wake up and resume its previous lighting mode.
- If the light remains in the dormant state for 30 minutes without any movement, it will perform a forced shutdown to completely power off. To reactivate, you will need to long-press the power button.

Figure 5: Taillight enters dormant mode after 30 seconds of inactivity and wakes up with vibration.
5. Charging
The CYCLAMI CY110 taillight is equipped with a Type-C charging port for convenient recharging.
- Locate the Type-C charging port on the taillight, usually protected by a rubber cover.
- Gently open the rubber cover to expose the port.
- Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the taillight and the other end to a standard USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter, power bank).
- The light will indicate charging status (e.g., flashing while charging, solid when fully charged).
- Once fully charged, disconnect the cable and securely close the rubber cover to maintain water resistance.
Battery Life:
- Always-on mode: Approximately 3.5 hours
- Other modes: Approximately 6 hours

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Wipe the taillight with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and dust. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the casing or lens.
6.2 Water Resistance
The CY110 has an IPX6 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against high-pressure water jets from any direction. It is safe for use in heavy rain. However, it is not designed for prolonged immersion in water. Ensure the Type-C charging port cover is securely closed to maintain water resistance.

6.3 Storage
When not in use for extended periods, store the taillight in a cool, dry place. It is advisable to charge the battery periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months) to maintain battery health.
7. Troubleshooting
- Light not turning on:
Ensure the battery is charged. Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn it on. - Brake sensing not working as expected:
The brake sensing feature is most noticeable in flashing or breathing modes. In constant-on mode, the brightness increase is subtle. Ensure the light is securely mounted and not obstructed. - Light turns off unexpectedly:
The taillight features an intelligent sleep mode. If stationary for 30 seconds, it enters hibernation. After 30 minutes of inactivity, it performs a forced shutdown. Simply move the bike to wake it up, or long-press the power button if it has fully shut down. - Water ingress:
Ensure the Type-C charging port cover is fully sealed after charging. While IPX6 rated, prolonged immersion is not recommended.
