5. Installation Guide

5.1. Pre-Installation Checks

6.1. Wi-Fi Connection

To access online features, connect the unit to a Wi-Fi network:

7. Operating Instructions

7.1. Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

Connect your smartphone for an integrated experience:

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both your phone and the car radio.
  2. Pair your phone with the car radio via Bluetooth (refer to Section 6.9 for Bluetooth connection).
  3. Once paired, open the CarPlay or Android Auto application on the car radio. Your phone should automatically connect.

7.2. Mirror Link

Display your phone's screen on the car radio:

  1. For Android phones, connect via Wi-Fi or USB. For iOS phones, connect via Wi-Fi.
  2. Open the Mirror Link application on the car radio and follow the on-screen instructions to establish the connection.

7.3. GPS Navigation

Utilize the built-in GPS for navigation:

  1. Ensure the GPS antenna is properly installed and has a clear view of the sky.
  2. Open your preferred navigation app (e.g., Google Maps, Waze).
  3. Enter your destination to start navigating. The unit supports both online and offline maps.

7.7. Split Screen Function

Run two applications simultaneously:

  1. Open the first application you wish to use.
  2. Press and hold the recent apps button (usually a square icon) or swipe up from the bottom of the screen (depending on UI) to enter split-screen mode.
  3. Select the second application from the recent apps list to display it alongside the first.

7.8. Rear Camera Display

View the backup camera feed:

When the vehicle is shifted into reverse gear, the car radio will automatically display the feed from the connected AHD backup camera, providing parking assistance with clear visual guidelines.

8. Maintenance

  • Screen Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the touch screen. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Software Updates: Periodically check for software updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
  • Avoid Extreme Conditions: Protect the unit from direct sunlight for prolonged periods and extreme temperatures.
