2. Package Contents

Verify that all parts listed below are present before beginning assembly. If any parts are missing or damaged, contact customer support.

The package includes various posts, platforms, two cat condos, two plush perches, a hammock, a hanging basket, two scratching boards, and all necessary hardware (screws, bolts, Allen wrench) for assembly.

3. Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble your Gitelsnour 71-inch Multi-Level Cat Tree. Each component is labeled for easy identification.

1. Unpack and Identify Parts: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Lay them out and compare them with the parts list and diagrams provided in the manual to ensure everything is present and undamaged.
2. Assemble the Base: Attach the longest support posts to the large base plate using the provided screws. Ensure the base is stable and level.

3. Build Lower Levels: Attach the first set of platforms and cat condos to the base posts according to the numbered diagrams. Ensure all connections are tight.
4. Integrate Scratching Boards and Hammock: Install the scratching boards and the hammock as indicated in the assembly diagram. These are typically attached to specific posts or platforms.
5. Construct Upper Levels: Continue assembling the higher platforms and the second cat condo, connecting them with the appropriate posts.
6. Attach Top Perches: Secure the two plush top perches to the uppermost posts.
7. Final Check and Wall Attachment: Once fully assembled, gently shake the cat tree to check for stability. Re-tighten any loose screws. Attach the anti-tipping strap to the designated point on the cat tree and secure it to a wall stud using appropriate hardware (not included).

5. Maintenance and Care

• Cleaning: The plush fabric components are recommended for hand wash only. Use a mild detergent and cold water. Allow to air dry completely before reattaching or allowing cats to use. For general cleaning, use a vacuum cleaner to remove cat hair and dust. Spot clean any soiled areas with a damp cloth and mild soap.
• Inspection: Regularly check all screws, bolts, and connections to ensure they remain tight. Tighten any loose fasteners with the provided Allen wrench.
• Wear and Tear: Inspect sisal scratching surfaces and plush fabric for significant wear or damage. Worn scratching surfaces may be less effective and could fray.

6. Troubleshooting

Address common issues with your cat tree using these tips.

• Cat Tree Wobbles:
  • Ensure all screws and bolts are fully tightened.
  • Verify the cat tree is on a flat, level surface.
  • Confirm the anti-tipping strap is securely attached to both the cat tree and a wall stud.
• Cats Not Using the Tree:
  • Place the cat tree in a location your cat frequently visits or near a window.
  • Use catnip spray or sprinkle catnip on the scratching posts and platforms to attract your cat.
  • Encourage exploration with toys or treats placed on different levels.
• Damaged or Worn Parts:
