1. Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before using your new SMETA Ventless Washer Dryer Combo. Retain this manual for future reference.

CRITICAL WARNING: REMOVE SHIPPING BOLTS!

Before first use, you MUST remove the four shipping bolts, four plastic spacers (including rubber grommets), and four power cord retainers from the back of the washing machine. Failure to remove these components will cause severe vibration and potential damage to the appliance during operation. Refer to the 'Setup and Installation' section for detailed instructions.

This appliance combines washing and drying functions into a single unit, eliminating the need for separate machines and external venting.

3. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance and longevity of your appliance.

3.1 Unpacking and Shipping Bolt Removal

Upon receiving your appliance, carefully unpack it. The most critical step before operation is removing the shipping bolts.

  1. Locate the four shipping bolts on the back of the washer. These are designed to secure the drum during transit.
  2. Using an appropriate wrench, loosen and remove all four bolts.
  3. Remove the corresponding plastic spacers and rubber grommets that were attached to the shipping bolts.
  4. Remove any power cord retainers.
  5. Store these parts in a safe place for future transport if needed.

4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for a typical wash and dry cycle:

  1. Load Laundry: Open the door and load your sorted laundry into the drum. Do not overload the machine.
  2. Add Detergent: Pull out the detergent dispenser drawer. Add the appropriate amount of detergent and fabric softener to their respective compartments.
  3. Close Door: Close the dispenser drawer and the main door firmly.
  4. Power On: Press the 'Power' button to turn on the appliance.
  5. Select Program: Turn the program selection knob to choose the desired laundry program (e.g., 'Normal/Cotton', 'Delicates', 'Heavy Duty'). The selected program will be displayed on the LED screen.
  6. Adjust Settings (Optional): Use the 'Temp', 'Spin', 'Soil', and 'Dry' buttons to customize the water temperature, spin speed, soil level, and drying level if desired.
  7. Delay Start (Optional): Press the 'Delay' button to set a delayed start time for your cycle.
  8. Start Cycle: Press the 'Start/Pause' button to begin the selected program.
  9. Add a Garment (Optional): If you forgot an item, press 'Start/Pause' to pause the cycle, wait for the door to unlock, add the garment, close the door, and press 'Start/Pause' again to resume.
  10. End of Cycle: The machine will signal when the cycle is complete. Remove your laundry promptly to prevent wrinkles.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Drum Cleaning

Use the 'Tub Clean' program regularly (e.g., once a month) to clean the interior of the drum and prevent odor buildup. Follow the instructions for the 'Tub Clean' cycle on your control panel.

6.2 Detergent Dispenser Cleaning

Periodically remove and clean the detergent dispenser drawer to prevent residue buildup. Rinse with warm water and a soft brush, then reinsert.

6.3 Lint Filter Cleaning

Although a ventless dryer, it still accumulates lint. Locate and clean the lint filter after every drying cycle to maintain optimal drying performance and prevent blockages.

6.4 Exterior Cleaning

Wipe the exterior surfaces of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
