3. Setup and Connectivity
The Akko 5108B Plus keyboard supports three connection modes: Wired (USB Type-C), 2.4GHz Wireless, and Bluetooth.
3.1. Wired Connection
- Locate the USB Type-C port on the keyboard.
- Connect one end of the provided USB Type-C cable to the keyboard.
- Connect the other end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer.
- The keyboard will be automatically recognized and ready for use.
3.2. 2.4GHz Wireless Connection
- Locate the 2.4GHz wireless receiver (dongle) in the package.
- Plug the 2.4GHz receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- On the keyboard, switch the mode selector to 2.4GHz mode. This is typically a switch located on the back or side of the keyboard.
- The keyboard should automatically connect to the receiver. If not, press Fn + 4 (or indicated key combination) to initiate pairing.
3.3. Bluetooth Connection
The keyboard supports up to three Bluetooth devices.
- On the keyboard, switch the mode selector to Bluetooth mode.
- To enter pairing mode for a specific Bluetooth slot, press and hold Fn + 1, Fn + 2, or Fn + 3 for 3-5 seconds until the indicator light flashes rapidly.
- On your device (computer, tablet, smartphone), open Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
- Select "Akko 5108B Plus" (or similar name) from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, the indicator light on the keyboard will stop flashing.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. RGB Backlight Control
The Akko 5108B Plus features customizable RGB backlighting with over 20 preset modes.
- Fn + \ |: Cycle through different RGB lighting effects.
- Fn + ← / →: Adjust lighting direction or color for certain effects.
- Fn + ↑ / ↓: Increase/decrease backlight brightness.

4.2. Programmable Keys and Akko Cloud Driver
All keys on the Akko 5108B Plus keyboard can be programmed using the Akko Cloud Driver software. This software allows for custom key assignments, macro creation, and advanced lighting customization.

5. Hot-Swappable Switches

5.1. Replacing Switches
- Using the provided switch puller, gently grip the switch from the top and bottom (where the clips are located).
- Pull the switch straight up with even pressure until it detaches from the PCB.
- Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Ensure the pins are straight and not bent.
- Gently push the new switch straight down until it clicks into place. You should feel a secure connection.
- Test the new switch to ensure it functions correctly.

6. Keycap Information

7. Maintenance

- Cleaning Keycaps: Use a keycap puller to remove keycaps. Clean them with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.
- Cleaning the Board: Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the switches. A soft brush can also be used.
- Avoid Liquids: Do not spill liquids on the keyboard. If a spill occurs, immediately disconnect the keyboard and allow it to dry completely before reconnecting.
