5. Installation

5.1 Pre-installation Checks

• Ensure your vehicle is a Volkswagen Beetle model from 2004-2010. This unit is designed for basic versions only.
• Disconnect the vehicle's battery before starting installation to prevent electrical damage.
• Gather all necessary tools, including the provided installation tool.

5.2 Physical Installation

1. Carefully remove the original car radio from your Volkswagen Beetle dashboard. Refer to your vehicle's service manual for specific removal instructions.
2. Connect the provided power cable, RCA cables, and other necessary wiring harnesses to the new SIXWIN Android Car Stereo. Ensure all connections are secure.

4. Install the AHD rear camera according to its separate instructions, connecting its video and power cables to the main unit.
5. Carefully slide the new car stereo unit into the dashboard opening, ensuring all wires are tucked away and not pinched.

6. Setup

6.1 Initial Power-On

After installation, turn on your vehicle's ignition. The stereo should power on automatically. Follow the on-screen prompts for initial setup, such as language selection and time zone.

6.2 Wi-Fi Connection

To access online features and download apps, connect the unit to a Wi-Fi network:

1. Go to the main menu and select 'Settings'.
2. Navigate to 'Network & Internet' or 'Wi-Fi'.
3. Turn on Wi-Fi and select your desired network from the list.
4. Enter the password if prompted and connect.

7.1 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

The unit supports both wireless and wired CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration.

For Wireless CarPlay (iOS):

1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both your iPhone and the car stereo.
2. Connect your iPhone to the car stereo via Bluetooth.
3. Open the 'Zlink5' app on the car stereo.
4. CarPlay should automatically activate.

For Wireless Android Auto (Android):

1. Download the Android Auto app on your smartphone.
2. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both your Android phone and the car stereo.
3. Connect your Android phone to the car stereo via Bluetooth.
4. Open the 'Zlink5' app on the car stereo.
5. Android Auto should automatically activate. (Note: Samsung phones may not be supported for wireless Android Auto.)

7.2 Mirror Link

Mirror Link allows you to display your smartphone's screen on the car stereo.

• For iOS: Connect via Wi-Fi.
• For Android: Connect via USB or Wi-Fi.
