2. Setup Guide
2.1 Unpacking and Initial Placement
- Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Retain all packing materials for future transport or storage.
- Place the unit upright on a flat, stable surface. Unlike some other models, the LEO-Lite does not require a 24-hour waiting period before initial use.
- Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space around the unit for proper airflow.
- The unit comes with factory-equipped swivel casters for easy movement.
2.2 Power Connection
- Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the specifications of the unit.
2.3 Drain Hose Installation (Continuous Drainage)
The unit offers three drainage options: using the water tank, connecting a drain hose, or connecting a garden hose with an adapter. For continuous operation, use the drain hose:
- Locate the drain outlet on the back of the unit.
- Connect the provided drain hose to the drain outlet. Ensure a secure connection to prevent leaks.
- Direct the other end of the hose to a suitable drain (e.g., floor drain, sink). Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow for gravity drainage. The dehumidifier does not have a built-in pump.
- If using a garden hose, attach the provided garden hose adapter to the unit first, then connect your garden hose.

5. Troubleshooting Guide
Before contacting customer support, please refer to the following common issues and their solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Unit does not turn on. | No power, power cord loose, water tank full or not properly inserted. | Check power connection. Ensure water tank is empty and correctly seated. |
| Dehumidifier not collecting water or not reducing humidity. | Humidity setting too high, filter clogged, room temperature too low, unit size inadequate for space. | Lower desired humidity setting. Clean the air filter. Ensure room temperature is above 42°F. Verify unit capacity matches room size. |
| Unit is noisy. | Unit not on a level surface, filter clogged, internal components vibrating. | Place unit on a flat, stable surface. Clean the air filter. If noise persists, contact customer support. (Note: Lowest fan speed is 44dB, which is quiet for its performance class). |
| Water leaking from the unit. | Water tank not properly inserted, drain hose loose or clogged, unit tilted. | Ensure water tank is fully inserted. Check drain hose connection and clear any blockages. Place unit on a level surface. |
