1. Carefully remove the keys and the instruction card from the lock.
2. Read all instructions on the card before proceeding. Locate the key code on the side of the key.
3. Locate and remove the protective label from the lock cylinder.
4. Insert the key fully into the lock cylinder and turn it 3/4 turn clockwise. This action permanently codes the lock to that key. Once coded, a lock cannot be changed.
5. To test the lock, insert the key and turn it 1/4 turn clockwise to unlock. Push the button to lock.
6. Tip: Lock and unlock the box approximately 5 times to ensure proper setup and smooth operation.
7. Repeat this process for both locks if your box has two, or for any other Weather Guard boxes you wish to code to the same key.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Locking and Unlocking

The 1KEY ULTRALOCK system provides a visual indicator for the lock status:

• Locked: When the push button is depressed (pushed in), the box is locked.
• Unlocked: When the push button is popped out, the box is unlocked.

To unlock, insert your coded key and turn it 1/4 turn counter-clockwise. The button will pop out. To lock, simply push the button in. The key is only needed to unlock the box.

4.2 Opening and Closing the Lid

The truck box features a 90-degree cover opening for full access. To open, ensure the lock is in the unlocked position, then lift the lid. To close, gently lower the lid until the latching system engages. The optimized latching system requires minimal force for closure.
