3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

  • To turn on the toothbrush, press the power button once.

4.2 Selecting a Mode

The HX993 series host features five distinct brushing modes. To change the mode:

  2. Each press will cycle through the available modes. The active mode will be indicated by an illuminated light next to its name on the handle.

4.3 Brushing Technique

For effective cleaning, follow these general guidelines:

  • Apply a small amount of toothpaste to your toothbrush head.
  • Place the bristles against your teeth at a slight angle towards the gum line.
  • Move the brush slowly across each tooth, allowing the sonic vibrations to clean. Do not scrub vigorously.
  • Brush all surfaces of your teeth (outer, inner, and chewing surfaces).
  • Most dentists recommend brushing for two minutes, twice a day.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Host

After each use:

  1. Remove the toothbrush head from the host.
  2. Rinse the metal shaft and the top of the host under running water.
  3. Wipe the entire host with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the host in water for extended periods.
