1. Setup
Your Antarctic Star Portable Air Conditioner comes with everything needed for quick and easy setup. Before beginning, ensure all components are present: the main AC unit, exhaust hose, window kit, remote control, and user manual.

Window Kit Installation
The adjustable window kit is designed for easy installation in both vertical and horizontal sliding windows. Extend the window kit to fit the length or height of your window opening. Secure it firmly in place, ensuring a tight seal to prevent air leakage. Duct tape can be used to seal any remaining gaps for maximum efficiency.

Exhaust Hose Connection
Connect one end of the exhaust hose to the window kit adapter and the other end to the exhaust air outlet on the back of the main unit. Ensure the hose is not bent or kinked to maintain optimal airflow. The unit should be placed at least 70cm (approximately 27.5 inches) from the window and avoid sharp bends in the hose.
Drainage Setup
For continuous drainage, especially when using the dehumidifier function, connect the included drainage hose to the drain outlet at the bottom of the unit. Position the hose to allow gravity to drain water into a suitable receptacle or directly outside.
2. Operating
The portable air conditioner features an intuitive LED control panel on top and a convenient remote control for easy operation from a distance. It offers three primary functions: Cooling, Dehumidifying, and Fan mode, along with a Sleep mode and 24-hour timer.

Figure 3: Detailed view of the LED control panel and remote.
Modes and Settings
- Cooling Mode: Provides cool air within a temperature range of 61°F-86°F. Ideal for fast cooling of rooms up to 400+ sq.ft.
- Dehumidify Mode: Effectively reduces humidity, removing excess moisture from the air for a healthier environment.
- Fan Mode: Circulates indoor air with two speed settings (low/high) without cooling, useful for milder days.
- Sleep Mode: Maintains an optimal temperature at a low fan speed, ensuring quiet operation (less than 52dB) for undisturbed rest.
- 24H Timer: Allows you to set the unit to turn on or off automatically within a 1-24 hour period, promoting energy saving.

Temperature and Fan Speed Adjustment
Use the 'Up' and 'Down' arrows on the control panel or remote to adjust the desired temperature. The 'Speed' button allows you to cycle between low and high fan speeds. The unit features a wide 75° oscillation for broad cooling coverage.

3. Maintenance
Water Drainage
The unit has an internal water collection area. When this area fills up, the unit will automatically turn off and indicate that it needs to be drained. Use the provided drainage hose to empty the collected water. Regular drainage is essential for optimal performance, especially in high-humidity environments.
Filter Cleaning
The air filter should be cleaned regularly to ensure efficient operation and good air quality. Refer to the user manual for specific instructions on how to access and clean the filter.
4. Troubleshooting
If the unit is not cooling effectively, ensure the exhaust hose is properly installed and sealed, and that the air filter is clean. If the
