Instruction Manual

1. Introduction

This 36-inch wide wood closet organizer is designed to maximize storage space with its adjustable shelves and hanging rods, suitable for various garments and items.

2. Safety Information

  • Two-Person Assembly: Due to the size and weight of the components, assembly by two people is strongly recommended to prevent injury and ensure proper setup.
  • Anti-Tip Hardware: Always install the provided anti-tip hardware to secure the unit to a wall. This prevents accidental tipping, especially in households with children or pets.
  • Weight Capacity: Do not exceed the maximum weight recommendation of 362.87 kg (800 lbs) for the entire unit. Distribute weight evenly across shelves and hanging rods.
  • Component Inspection: Before assembly, inspect all parts for damage. Do not assemble if any critical components are damaged. Contact customer support for replacements.
  • Stable Surface: Assemble and place the closet system on a flat, level, and stable surface.

  1. Unpack and Identify Parts: Carefully unpack all components and lay them out. Refer to the parts list in your assembly guide to identify each piece and hardware.

  5. Place Shelves: Carefully place the adjustable shelves onto the installed shelf pins.
  6. Install Hanging Rods: Secure the two hanging rods into their designated positions.

5. Operating Instructions

The Unikito Freestanding Closet System offers flexible storage options to suit your needs.

  • Adjusting Shelves: To adjust a shelf, remove all items from it. Lift the shelf off its pins, remove the pins, and reinsert them into the desired pre-drilled holes. Then, place the shelf back onto the pins. There are 5 height levels for customization.
  • Utilizing Hanging Rods: The two hanging rods are designed to accommodate various garment lengths. Use the upper rod for shorter items like shirts and blouses, and the lower rod for longer items such as pants or skirts, or for additional short garments.
  • Weight Distribution: For optimal stability and longevity, distribute the weight of your clothes and items evenly across the shelves and hanging rods. Avoid placing all heavy items on a single shelf or rod.
