1. Introduction

The MeLE Mini PC Quieter 4C is a compact, fanless computer designed for various applications including office work, education, and astrophotography. It features a 12th Gen Intel Alder Lake-N100 processor, 16GB RAM, and a 512GB M.2 SSD, running on Windows 11 Pro. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your device.

2. What's in the Box

Verify that all items are present in the package:

• 1 x Quieter 4C Mini PC
• 1 x Power Adapter (12V/2A)
• 1 x VESA Mount
• 1 x User Manual
• 1 x UL Plug

3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Connecting Peripherals

1. Power Connection: Connect the included 12V/2A power adapter to the DC-in port (12V/2A) on the Mini PC.
2. Display Connection: Connect your monitor(s) to the HDMI 2.0 ports or the full-function USB-C port. The device supports up to three 4K displays simultaneously.
3. USB Devices: Connect your keyboard, mouse, and other USB devices to the available USB 3.2 (5Gbps/10Gbps) and USB 2.0 ports.
4. Audio: For external audio, connect speakers or headphones to the 3.5mm audio jack.
5. Network: For a wired connection, connect an Ethernet cable to the Gigabit Ethernet port. For wireless, ensure your Wi-Fi network is available.

3.2 Initial Power On

After connecting all necessary peripherals, press the power button located on the device. The system will boot into Windows 11 Pro. Follow the on-screen instructions for initial Windows setup.

3.3 VESA Mounting

The Quieter 4C includes a VESA mount for discreet installation behind a monitor or TV. Attach the VESA mount to the back of your display using the provided screws, then slide the Mini PC onto the mount.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Operation

• Power On: Press the power button once.
• Shut Down: Use the standard Windows 11 shutdown procedure (Start Menu > Power > Shut down).
• Sleep Mode: Press the power button briefly or use the Windows 11 sleep option.

4.2 Multi-Monitor Setup

The Quieter 4C supports up to three 4K displays at 60Hz via its two HDMI 2.0 ports and one full-function USB-C port. Connect your monitors and configure display settings within Windows 11 (Right-click desktop > Display settings) to extend or duplicate your desktop.

4.3 Storage Expansion

The Mini PC comes with a 512GB M.2 SSD. Additional storage can be added via:

• Micro SD Card Slot: Supports up to 2TB.
• Internal M.2 2280 SSD Slot: Supports NVMe SSDs up to 4TB or SATA M.2 SSDs up to 2TB. (Does not support 2.5" HDDs).

4.4 Wireless Connectivity

The Quieter 4C features Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) for dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz connections, and Bluetooth 5.1 for connecting wireless peripherals. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is configured in Windows settings for internet access.

5. Maintenance

The MeLE Quieter 4C is a fanless design, which reduces dust accumulation and noise. However, regular maintenance is still recommended:

• Cleaning: Periodically wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Ensure ventilation areas are clear.
• Software Updates: Keep your Windows 11 Pro operating system and drivers updated to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Heat Management: While fanless, the device can become warm during heavy use. Ensure it is placed in a well-ventilated area and not obstructed. The thermal design is engineered for efficient heat dissipation.

6. Troubleshooting

• No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the Mini PC and a working power outlet. Verify the power adapter is the correct 12V/2A unit.
• No Display: Check all HDMI and USB-C display cables. Ensure the monitor is powered on and set to the correct input source. Try connecting to a different display or using a different cable.
• Ethernet Not Working: If the Ethernet port is not recognized or functioning, it may be disabled in the BIOS. To enable it:
  1. Restart the Mini PC and repeatedly press the DELETE key during startup to enter the BIOS.
  2. Navigate to the Boot tab.
  3. Locate and Enable the setting for "Network Stack Driver Support".
  4. Go to the Save and Exit tab and select "Save and Exit".
• System Slowdown/Overheating: While designed for efficient heat dissipation, prolonged heavy loads in poorly ventilated environments can cause warmth. Ensure adequate airflow around the device.
• Peripheral Not Recognized: Try connecting the peripheral to a different USB port. Ensure drivers are installed if required by the peripheral.
