This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Shark Air Purifier NeverChange Compact Pro. Please read all instructions carefully before use and retain this manual for future reference.

The Shark NeverChange Air Purifier Compact Pro is designed to deliver clean air with powerful, long-lasting HEPA filtration. It features CleanSense IQ for real-time air quality monitoring and PureShield Anti-Allergen filtration to capture micropollutants, dust, pet dander, smoke, and irritants. The system includes a long-lasting HEPA filter and easy-to-clean Debris Defense filters.

Safety Instructions
Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury. This appliance is for household use only.
- Read all instructions before operating the air purifier.

Setup
1. Unpacking and Initial Inspection
Carefully remove the air purifier from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any damage. Ensure all components listed in the 'What's Included' section are present.
2. Filter Installation (Pre-installed)
The Debris Defense Washable Filter and NeverChange HEPA Filter come pre-installed in your unit. Before first use, ensure all protective packaging is removed from the filters. To access the filters, gently pull the side panels outwards to release them, then slide out the filter frames. Remove any plastic wrapping from the filters before reinserting them and closing the side panels.

3. Odor Neutralizer Cartridge Installation
Locate the Odor Neutralizer Technology slot on the top of the unit. Unwrap the Odor Neutralizer Cartridge and insert it into the slot. Turn the dial on the cartridge to adjust the scent intensity from minimum to maximum, or turn it off completely.
Operating the Air Purifier
1. Control Panel Overview
The control panel is located on the top of the unit and features a digital display for real-time air quality feedback, fan speed controls, and other settings.

2. Power On/Off
Plug the air purifier into a standard electrical outlet. Press the Power button on the control panel to turn the unit on or off.
3. Fan Speed Adjustment
Use the fan speed buttons on the control panel to cycle through different fan speeds (Low, Medium, High, Max). The current fan speed will be indicated on the display.
4. CleanSense IQ (Auto Mode)
The CleanSense IQ feature automatically detects air quality and adjusts the fan speed to maintain optimal air purification. To activate, select the 'Auto' mode on the control panel. The display will show real-time air quality percentage.

5. Odor Neutralizer Technology
The integrated Odor Neutralizer Technology helps combat household odors. Adjust the dial on the top of the unit to control the intensity of the scent release. This feature is particularly effective against pet and cooking odors.

6. Display Settings
The control panel allows you to adjust display brightness and cycle through different air quality metrics (e.g., percentage of clean air, PM2.5, PM10 levels).
7. Sleep Mode
For minimal disturbance during sleep, activate Sleep Mode. This mode operates the air purifier at its lowest, quietest setting and dims the display lights.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning Debris Defense Filters
The Debris Defense filters capture large particles like hair, dust, and dander. These filters are washable and should be cleaned regularly to maintain optimal performance. To clean, remove the side panels, slide out the filter frames, and vacuum, wipe, or rinse them under water. Ensure they are completely dry before reinserting.

2. Replacing NeverChange HEPA Filter
The NeverChange HEPA filter is designed for long-lasting filtration, up to 5 years. When replacement is needed, the unit's display will indicate 'CHECK DUST FILTERS'. To replace, turn off and unplug the unit, remove the bottom cover, and carefully pull out the old HEPA filter. Insert the new filter and secure the bottom cover.

3. Replacing Odor Neutralizer Cartridge
The Odor Neutralizer Cartridge should be replaced periodically as its scent diminishes. To replace, simply twist and remove the old cartridge from the top slot and insert a new one.
Troubleshooting
- Unit not turning on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check if the power button is pressed.
- Poor airflow: Check and clean the Debris Defense filters. Ensure no obstructions are blocking the air intake or exhaust vents.
- Air quality reading remains low: Ensure the unit is placed in an open area, away from walls or furniture that might obstruct airflow. Clean the air quality sensor if necessary (refer to full instructions for sensor cleaning).
- Odor Neutralizer not working: Check if the cartridge dial is set to an active scent level. Replace the cartridge if the scent has diminished.
