3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Mounting the M2S Unit
The M2S unit can be mounted to your helmet using either the adhesive mounting clip or the screw mounting clip. Choose the method that best suits your helmet type and preference.
- Adhesive Mount: Clean the desired area on the side of your helmet. Peel off the protective film from the adhesive pad on the clip and firmly press it onto the helmet surface. Hold for 30 seconds to ensure a strong bond.
- Screw Mount: Attach the screw clip to the edge of your helmet shell. Use the provided screws to secure it in place. Ensure it is tight but do not overtighten.
- Slide the M2S host unit onto the mounted clip until it clicks securely into place.
3.2 Installing Speakers and Microphone
The M2S comes with both a hard microphone (for open-face helmets) and a soft microphone (for full-face helmets). Choose the appropriate microphone for your helmet.
- Attach the speakers inside your helmet using the provided Velcro pads. Position them directly over your ears for optimal sound quality.
- Connect the speaker and microphone cable to the corresponding port on the M2S host unit.
- For the hard microphone, position the boom microphone in front of your mouth. For the soft microphone, tuck it inside the helmet padding near your mouth.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
- Power On: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds until the indicator light turns on.
- Power Off: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds until the indicator light turns off.
4.2 Bluetooth Pairing (Phone/GPS)
- With the M2S powered off, press and hold the Power button for about 5-7 seconds until the indicator light flashes red and blue alternately, indicating pairing mode.
- On your phone or GPS device, enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
- Select "MAXTO M2S" from the list of available devices.
- Once paired, the indicator light will flash blue slowly.
4.3 Group Intercom
The M2S supports 2 to 6 riders for group intercom communication.

- Ensure all M2S units are powered on and within range.
- On one M2S unit, initiate group pairing (refer to specific button press in your quick start guide, typically a long press of a dedicated intercom button).
- Other M2S units should join the group (refer to specific button press).
- Once connected, all riders in the group can communicate. The group intercom distance can reach up to 2000 meters.
4.4 Music Playback and Sharing
After pairing with your phone, you can play music through the M2S headset.

- Play/Pause: Short press the Multi-function button.
- Next Track: Short press the Volume Up button.
- Previous Track: Short press the Volume Down button.

4.5 FM Radio
The M2S includes an integrated FM radio.

- Turn On/Off FM: Press and hold the FM button.
- Scan Channels: Short press the FM button to automatically scan and save channels.

5.1 Charging
The M2S has a 500 mAh battery capacity, providing approximately 20 hours of operating time and 200 hours of standby time. A full charge takes about 2 hours.

- Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the M2S unit and a USB power source.
- The indicator light will show charging status (e.g., red for charging, blue for fully charged).

5.2 Waterproofing and Care
