Setup Guide
1. Initial Charging
Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the keyboard. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's port and the other end to a powered USB port (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter). The keyboard features a 4000 mAh battery.
2. Connection Modes
The Redragon K728 PRO SE supports three connection modes:
- USB-C Wired Mode: Connect the keyboard directly to your computer using the provided USB-C cable. This mode also charges the keyboard.
- 2.4GHz Wireless Mode: Insert the 2.4GHz USB dongle into an available USB port on your computer. The keyboard should automatically connect.
- Bluetooth Mode:
- Switch the keyboard to Bluetooth mode using the switch on the back or side of the keyboard.
- On your device (PC, laptop, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
- Select "Redragon K728 PRO SE" from the list of available devices to pair.
- The keyboard supports BT 3.0/5.0.

3. Software Installation (Optional)

Operating Instructions
Basic Keyboard Functions
The K728 PRO SE features an 80% TKL layout, providing essential keys while saving desktop space. Standard key functions operate as expected. The keyboard's gasket design and 5-layer noise dampening contribute to a soft and creamy typing feel.

RGB Lighting Control
The keyboard features vibrant RGB backlighting with south-facing LEDs for enhanced illumination. Lighting modes and brightness can be adjusted using keyboard shortcuts (refer to the quick start guide for specific key combinations) or through the Redragon Pro Software.

Battery Level Check
To check the current battery level, press the FN key combined with the designated battery check key (usually indicated by a battery icon or specific number keys). The keyboard's lighting will indicate the charge level (e.g., 30%, 50%, 100%).

Maintenance
Cleaning the Keyboard
To maintain optimal performance and appearance:
- Disconnect the keyboard from all power sources.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe down the keycaps and chassis.
- For dust and debris between keys, use compressed air.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Keycap and Switch Replacement
The Redragon K728 PRO SE features hot-swappable sockets, allowing for easy replacement of switches without soldering. It is compatible with most 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches.
- Removing Keycaps: Use the provided keycap puller to gently pull keycaps straight up.
- Removing Switches: Use the provided switch puller. Align the prongs of the puller with the clips on the top and bottom of the switch, squeeze gently, and pull the switch straight up.
- Installing Switches: Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Gently push the switch down until it clicks into place. Ensure pins are straight to avoid bending.
- Installing Keycaps: Align the keycap with the switch stem and push down firmly until it is seated.

Troubleshooting
Keyboard Not Responding
- Wired Mode: Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable.
- 2.4GHz Wireless Mode: Ensure the USB dongle is properly inserted. Try re-pairing by turning the keyboard off and on, then re-inserting the dongle.
- Bluetooth Mode: Check if Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the keyboard is paired. Try unpairing and re-pairing the keyboard. Ensure the keyboard is in Bluetooth mode.
- Low Battery: Charge the keyboard.
Specific Keys Not Working
- Reset Keyboard: Perform a factory reset by holding down FN + ESC for five seconds. This can resolve many software-related key issues.
- Check Switch: If a specific key is not working, the switch might be faulty or improperly seated. Use the switch puller to remove the switch and re-insert it firmly. If the issue persists, replace the switch with one of the spare switches provided.
RGB Lighting Issues
- Ensure the keyboard is powered on and not in a low-power state.
- Check lighting settings via keyboard shortcuts or the Redragon Pro Software.
- Perform a keyboard reset (FN + ESC).
