2. Safety Information

Operating heavy machinery requires strict adherence to safety protocols. Failure to follow these guidelines can result in serious injury or death.

  • Read the Manual: Always read and understand the entire operator's manual before starting, operating, or servicing the machine.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear appropriate PPE, including a hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety footwear, and high-visibility clothing.
  • Operator Training: Ensure all operators are properly trained and familiar with the machine's controls and capabilities.
  • Pre-Operation Check: Before each use, inspect the machine for any damage, loose parts, fluid leaks, or other issues. Do not operate if any defects are found.
  • Work Area Safety: Keep bystanders, especially children and pets, away from the work area. Be aware of your surroundings, including overhead power lines and underground utilities.
  • Stability: Operate on stable, level ground whenever possible. Avoid steep slopes or uneven terrain that could cause the machine to tip.
  • Load Capacity: Do not exceed the rated operating capacity of 525 lbs (238 kg) or the maximum lifting capacity of 1,323 lbs (600 kg). Overloading can lead to instability and accidents.
  • Engine Safety: Ensure proper ventilation when operating the engine. Fuel the machine in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool.
  • Hydraulic System: Be aware of high-pressure hydraulic fluid. Leaks can cause serious injury. Do not use bare hands to check for leaks.
  • Maintenance Safety: Always turn off the engine, remove the key, and engage the parking brake before performing any maintenance or adjustments.
