5.4 Grass Collection Bag
The 40L grass collection bag efficiently collects clippings, reducing cleanup time.
- Ensure the bag is properly attached before mowing.
- Monitor the bag's fill level. Empty the bag when it is full to maintain optimal cutting performance and prevent clogging.
- To empty, detach the bag from the mower and dispose of clippings. Reattach securely.
5.5 Mowing Tips
- For best results, especially with longer grass, start mowing at a higher cutting height (e.g., setting 3 or 4). After the initial pass, you can gradually lower the cutting height for a shorter trim. Attempting to cut very long grass at the lowest setting immediately may cause the motor to stall.
- Overlap cutting paths slightly to ensure an even cut.
- Mow in a pattern that directs clippings away from obstacles or previously mowed areas.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your MZK lawn mower.
- Cleaning: After each use, disconnect the battery and clean the mower deck, grass bag, and wheels. Remove any grass clippings or debris. Do not use water directly on electrical components.
- Blade Inspection: Periodically inspect the cutting blade for sharpness and damage. A dull or damaged blade can lead to poor cutting performance and strain the motor. Replace the blade if necessary.
- Storage: Store the mower in a dry, secure location. The lightweight design (approximately 26.5 lbs) and foldable handlebars allow for easy transport and space-saving vertical storage.

7. Troubleshooting
- Mower shuts off during operation:
- Cause: Attempting to cut very long or thick grass at the lowest cutting height setting. The motor may not have sufficient power to handle excessive load.
- Solution: Adjust the cutting height to a higher setting (e.g., 3 or 4) for the initial pass. Once the grass is shorter, you can gradually lower the cutting height for subsequent passes.
- Cause: Battery charge is low or depleted.
- Solution: Check the battery indicator lights. Recharge or replace with fully charged batteries.
- Cause: Obstruction in the blade area.
- Solution: Disconnect the battery, then carefully inspect and clear any debris from under the mower deck.
- Mower does not start:
- Cause: Batteries not properly installed or depleted.
- Solution: Ensure batteries are fully charged and securely seated in the compartment.
- Cause: Safety button and trigger not activated correctly.
- Solution: Press the safety button first, then pull the trigger lever.
