Components and Features

• Elevator Stopper: Secures the center column at the desired height.
• Leg Opening Stopper: Adjusts the angle of the tripod legs.
• Elevator (Center Column): Extends vertically for additional height.

• Lock Nut: Secures each leg section when extended.
• EV Lower Hook: Located at the bottom of the center column, useful for hanging weights for added stability.
• Rubber Foot: Provides stable contact with various surfaces.

Setup Instructions

1. Unfolding the Tripod:

   Release the leg opening stopper on each leg and extend the legs to your desired angle. Ensure the stopper clicks into place for stability.
2. Extending the Legs:

   Rotate the lock nuts on each leg section counter-clockwise to loosen. Pull out the leg sections to the desired length. Rotate the lock nuts clockwise to secure them firmly. Repeat for all five sections of each leg.

3. Adjusting the Center Column (Elevator):

   Loosen the elevator stopper. Gently pull up the center column to extend it. Tighten the elevator stopper to secure the column at the desired height. Do not over-extend the center column beyond its safety markings.

4. Attaching the Camera:

   Ensure the quick release plate is securely attached to your camera's tripod mount. Open the clamp on the ball head and slide the quick release plate with your camera into the clamp. Close the clamp firmly to secure the camera.
5. Monopod Conversion:

   To convert to a monopod, unscrew the leg with the foam grip from the tripod body. Detach the ball head from the center column and attach it to the top of the detached leg. This leg can now be used as a monopod.

6. Retracted Height for Transport:

   When not in use, fully retract all leg sections and the center column, then fold the legs upwards to achieve a compact size of 420mm for easy transport and storage.

Operating Instructions

1. Adjusting Camera Angle with Ball Head:

   Loosen the main locking knob on the ball head. Adjust your camera to the desired angle. Tighten the main locking knob firmly to secure the camera in position. The ball head also features a U-notch for quick vertical shooting.
2. Panning (Horizontal Rotation):

   Loosen the panning lock knob (usually located at the base of the ball head). Rotate the camera horizontally for panoramic shots. The ball head has graduation marks for precise panning. Tighten the panning lock knob when finished.

3. Using the EV Lower Hook:

   For increased stability in windy conditions or with heavy equipment, hang a weight (e.g., a camera bag) from the EV lower hook located at the bottom of the center column.
4. Low-Angle Shooting:

   For extremely low-angle shots, you can replace the standard center column with the included short center pole. This allows the tripod to get closer to the ground.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your tripod.

• Cleaning: Wipe down the tripod legs and head with a soft, damp cloth after use, especially if exposed to dust, sand, or saltwater. Avoid harsh chemicals.
• Lubrication: Periodically check the leg lock nuts and center column for smooth operation. If they become stiff, apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant. Do not over-lubricate.
• Inspection: Regularly inspect all screws, knobs, and leg locks for tightness. Tighten any loose components using the provided hex wrenches or plate spanner.
• Storage: Store the tripod in a dry, cool place, preferably in its carrying bag, to protect it from dust and moisture.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your tripod, refer to the following common solutions:

• Tripod Instability:
  • Ensure all leg lock nuts are fully tightened.
  • Verify that the leg opening stoppers are securely engaged at the desired angle.
  • Avoid over-extending the center column, as this can reduce stability.
  • Use the EV lower hook to hang a weight for added stability, especially on uneven terrain or in windy conditions.
• Stiff Leg Sections or Knobs:
  • Clean any dirt or debris from the leg sections and inside the lock nuts.
  • Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to the moving parts.
• Camera Not Secure on Ball Head:
  • Ensure the quick release plate is correctly attached to your camera and fully seated in the ball head clamp.
  • Tighten the main locking knob on the ball head firmly.
