ONBRILL STDC02 Patio Chairs Set of 4 Instruction Manual

Model: STDC02

1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the ONBRILL STDC02 Patio Chairs Set of 4. This manual provides essential information for the safe assembly, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new outdoor dining chairs. Please read these instructions carefully before use and retain them for future reference.

These chairs are designed for outdoor use, featuring a sturdy powder-coated steel frame and breathable Textilene fabric, making them suitable for various weather conditions and environments such as patios, gardens, backyards, and poolside areas.

2. Safety Information

  • Ensure all parts are present and undamaged before assembly. Do not use if any parts are missing or broken.
  • Assemble the chairs on a soft, clean, and level surface to prevent scratches or damage.
  • Do not overtighten screws during assembly, as this may damage the frame or hinder proper stacking. Tighten all screws firmly but gently.
  • Always ensure the chair is placed on a stable, level surface before sitting.
  • Do not stand on the chair or use it as a step stool.
  • Maximum weight capacity for each chair is 300 lbs. Do not exceed this limit.
  • Keep children away from the assembly area and ensure they do not play with small parts.
  • Regularly check all bolts and connections to ensure they remain tight and secure.

4. Setup and Assembly

Assembly of each ONBRILL patio chair is designed to be straightforward, typically taking less than 6 minutes per chair with 4 simple steps. It is recommended to have two people for easier assembly, especially when stretching the seat/back fabric.

Assembly Steps:

  1. Attach Legs to Seat Frame: Carefully align the front and rear legs to the designated connection points on the chair's seat frame. Ensure the 'front' labels on the legs, if present, are correctly oriented. Insert the appropriate screws and washers.
  2. Secure Cross Tube: Attach the cross tube between the front legs. This provides additional stability. Insert screws and washers.
  3. Initial Tightening: Hand-tighten all screws initially. Do not fully tighten any bolts until all eight bolts for the legs are in place. This allows for minor adjustments and prevents misalignment.
  4. Final Tightening: Once all bolts are in place, use the provided Allen key to fully tighten all screws. Avoid overtightening, especially for the seat/back unit, as this can cause the legs to pull inward and affect stacking. Place screw covers over exposed bolt heads for a finished look.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your ONBRILL patio chairs, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Chair wobbles after assembly.Screws not tightened evenly; legs not aligned correctly.Loosen all leg screws slightly, place the chair on a level surface, apply gentle pressure to all corners to ensure even contact, then retighten all screws firmly. Ensure 'front' labels on legs are correctly oriented.
Difficulty stretching the seat/back fabric during assembly.Fabric tension is high; assembly attempted by one person. This step is easier with two people. One person can gently pull the fabric while the other aligns and inserts the screws. Ensure all other screws are only hand-tightened until the fabric is secured.
Chairs do not stack neatly.Screws on the seat/back unit overtightened, causing the frame to distort.Loosen the screws connecting the seat/back unit to the legs slightly. Ensure they are tight enough for stability but not so tight that they pull the frame inward.
Bolt cross-threaded or broke during assembly.Incorrect alignment or excessive force.Always hand-thread bolts first to ensure correct alignment before using the Allen key. If a bolt is damaged, contact customer support for replacement parts.
