1. Important Safety Information

• This appliance is CE/UKCA/ROHS certified, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• The towel rail is equipped with overheating protection, automatically shutting off if the temperature exceeds 65°C.
• Contains anti-freeze liquid. Do not attempt to open or modify the internal components.
• Ensure the product is installed vertically and connected to a standard UK socket.
• The power cable is 1.2m long with a British standard plug. Do not use extension cords unless absolutely necessary and ensure they are rated for the appliance's power.
• Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician if hardwiring is required or if you are unsure about the electrical connections.
• Do not cover the towel rail with excessive items that could impede heat dissipation.
• Keep children and pets away from the appliance when in operation, as surfaces can become hot.

Installation Orientation: For safety reasons, the heating element and cable must always be positioned at the bottom of the radiator body.

2. Setup and Installation

The ELEGANT Smart Electric Heated Towel Rail is designed for quick and easy installation without the need for plumbing. It can be wall-mounted.

2.1 Unpacking and Component Check

Carefully unpack all components and ensure all parts are present according to the packing list. Inspect for any damage.

2.2 Wall Mounting Instructions

The towel rail features dual-sided wiring for flexible left/right power access. The adjustable distance to the wall is between 96mm and 106mm.

1. Marking: Position the towel rail against the wall at the desired height and use a level to ensure it is straight. Mark the drilling points for the wall brackets.
2. Drilling: Drill holes at the marked points. Insert the wall plugs into the drilled holes.
3. Attaching Brackets: Secure the wall brackets to the wall using the provided screws.
4. Mounting the Rail: Carefully align the towel rail with the installed wall brackets and secure it in place.
5. Power Connection: Plug the towel rail into a standard UK electrical socket.

The ELEGANT Smart Electric Heated Towel Rail offers both manual control via its LCD display and smart control via the Tuya Smart App.

3.1 LCD Display and Manual Control

The integrated LCD display allows for direct control of the towel rail's functions.

• Power On/Off: Use the power button on the LCD panel to turn the unit on or off.
• Temperature Adjustment: Set the desired towel rail temperature, ranging from 7°C to 70°C. The room temperature range is 7°C to 28°C.
• Timing Settings: Program the towel rail with customisable timers for up to 7 days / 24 hours.
• Work Modes: Select from 7 different work modes: Standby, LST (Low Surface Temperature), Setback, Manual, Comfort, RBT (Room Boost Temperature), and Program.

4.1 Cleaning

• Ensure the towel rail is completely dry before reconnecting to power.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your towel rail, please refer to the following common solutions:

• No Power: Check if the power plug is securely inserted into the socket. Verify that the socket is functional by plugging in another appliance. Check your household's circuit breaker.
• Not Heating: Ensure the unit is powered on and the desired temperature is set above the current room temperature. Check the selected work mode.
• App Connection Issues: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is active and the towel rail is within range. Follow the Tuya Smart App's pairing instructions carefully. Restart both the app and the towel rail if necessary.
• Overheating: The unit has an automatic shut-off at 65°C. If it frequently shuts off, ensure it is not excessively covered or installed in a confined space without adequate ventilation.
