4. Operating Instructions

Once assembled, your GlowWise juicer is ready for use. Follow these steps for optimal juicing.

4.1. Preparation

  • Wash all fruits and vegetables thoroughly.
  • Remove any hard pits (e.g., from peaches, cherries), large seeds, or thick peels (e.g., citrus, pineapple skin).
  • For ingredients like carrots, celery, or leafy greens, you may cut them into smaller pieces if desired, though the wide feed chute accommodates many whole items.

4.2. Juicing Process

  1. Ensure the juice cup and pulp container are correctly positioned.
  2. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
  3. Turn the control knob to the 'ON' position to start the motor.
  4. Slowly feed the prepared ingredients into the feed chute. Use the food pusher gently to guide them down. Do not force ingredients.
  5. The juicer will extract juice, which will flow into the juice cup, while the pulp will be expelled into the pulp container.
  6. If ingredients become jammed or the juicer stops, turn the knob to the 'REV' (Reverse) position for a few seconds to clear the blockage, then switch back to 'ON'.
  7. Once juicing is complete, turn the control knob to 'OFF' and unplug the appliance.

4.3. Tips for Best Results

  • For optimal juice yield, feed ingredients slowly and steadily.
  • Alternate between soft and hard ingredients (e.g., spinach then carrot) to help push pulp through and prevent clogging.
  • Do not overfill the feed chute. Allow the auger to process ingredients before adding more.
  • For leafy greens, roll them into a tight ball before feeding.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and hygienic operation of your juicer. Clean the appliance immediately after each use.

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the juicer from the power outlet before cleaning.
  2. Disassemble: Disassemble the juicer by reversing the assembly steps. Turn the feed chute assembly counter-clockwise to unlock, then remove the filter, auger, and juicing bowl.
  3. Rinse Parts: Rinse all removable parts (food pusher, feed chute assembly, auger, filter, juicing bowl, juice cup, pulp container) under running water.
  4. Clean Filter: Use the provided cleaning brush to thoroughly clean the mesh filter. This is crucial to prevent clogging and maintain juicing efficiency.
  5. Wash with Soap: Wash all removable parts with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  6. Dry: Allow all parts to air dry completely or dry with a soft cloth before reassembling or storing.
  7. Clean Motor Base: Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Never immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid.

Note: Some removable parts are dishwasher-safe. Refer to the product packaging or contact customer support for specific dishwasher compatibility. Hand washing is generally recommended for longevity.
