4. Controls and Indicators

5. Setup

  1. Initial Charging: Before first use, fully charge the radio using the provided USB-C cable. Connect the USB-C end to the radio's charging port and the USB-A end to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or computer USB port. The charging indicator will illuminate during charging.
  2. Power On: Press and hold the Volume Control knob on top of the radio until the tuning dial light illuminates.
  3. Mode Selection: Slide the mode switch on the back of the radio to select your desired operating mode: OFF, FM, BT (Bluetooth), or AUX.

6.1 FM Radio Mode

6.3 AUX Input Mode

  1. Slide the mode switch to the "AUX" position. The tuning dial light will turn blue.
  2. Connect one end of the provided USB-C to USB-A to AUX cable (using the AUX adapter) to the AUX input port on the back of the radio.
  3. Connect the other end of the AUX cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, computer).
  4. Play audio from your external device. The sound will be output through the R-818 speaker.

7. Charging

The PRUNUS R-818 features a built-in rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery (3.7V, 450mAh).

  1. Connect the provided USB-C to USB-A cable to the radio's charging port.
