4. Operation

4.1 Two-Way Intercom

When a visitor presses the doorbell, the monitor screen will instantly display the live video feed. To communicate:

  1. Press the call button on the monitor screen to activate the intercom.
  2. To speak, press and hold the call button. Release to transmit your voice. This functions similarly to a traditional walkie-talkie.
  3. To end the intercom conversation and return to standby mode, press the call button again.

Note: The indoor screen cannot wake up the outdoor doorbell camera. The intercom function is transmitted via wireless signals; the closer the doorbell and display screen, the stronger the signal. 6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Regularly wipe the camera lens and doorbell unit with a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear image quality and proper function. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.

6.2 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid exposing the devices to extreme temperatures. For the doorbell, use a standard 5V charger and avoid fast charging. For the monitor, keep it connected to a power source for long-term use.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Display When Doorbell Rings: Ensure the monitor screen is powered on and within range. Check battery levels of both units.
  • Weak Signal/Interference: Walls, windows, and metal objects can weaken the wireless signal. Try to install the equipment in an area with a strong signal. Re-pair the doorbell and monitor in the desired installation area to test signal strength before final mounting.
  • Echo During Intercom: If the display screen is too close to the doorbell, it may generate echo. Move the display screen further away or lower the volume to reduce noise.
  • Monitor Screen Not Waking Up: The display screen does not wake up automatically when someone rings the doorbell. It will only activate when the doorbell button is pressed. If there is no operation for 30 seconds, the display screen will automatically turn off. Long press the call button for 3 seconds to wake up the display screen.
  • Short Battery Life: Ensure both units are fully charged. For the monitor, connect it to an external power source for prolonged use. Avoid fast chargers for the doorbell.
  • No Video Recording: Ensure a TF card (8GB-32GB) is inserted correctly into the monitor screen. The system only records video with a TF card; otherwise, it captures photos.
