The HD display provides a clear overview of measurement data, including the current moisture value, maximum and minimum recorded values, and battery status. The tricolor analog bar visually indicates moisture levels: Green for DRY, Yellow for RISK, and Red for WET.

4. Setup

4.1 Package Contents

Ensure all items are present in the package:

4.2 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device (refer to Figure 1).
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert the 3 batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

  • Press the Power button to turn the device on.
  • The device will perform an automatic calibration upon startup.
  • To turn off, press and hold the Power button, or wait for the automatic shutdown after 30 minutes of inactivity.

5.2 Taking a Measurement

  1. Ensure the device is powered on and calibrated.
  2. Hold the device with the spherical sensor perpendicular to the surface you wish to measure.
  3. Gently press the spherical sensor against the material. The measurement will be displayed instantly on the HD screen.
  4. Observe the numerical reading and the tricolor analog bar for moisture level indication (DRY, RISK, WET).

The non-destructive spherical probe allows for measurements up to 40 mm deep without damaging the surface. Be aware that metal objects, pipes, or water pipes within the measurement depth can influence readings.

5.3 Data Hold Function

To freeze the current measurement on the display:

  • While taking a measurement, briefly press the MEAS/HOLD button. The "HOLD" icon will appear on the screen.
  • To release the hold and resume live measurements, press the MEAS/HOLD button again.

5.4 Setting the Alarm

The device features an adjustable alarm with audible and optical signals.

  1. Press the SET button to enter alarm setting mode.
  2. Use the Up/Down arrow buttons to adjust the alarm threshold value.
  3. Press SET again to confirm and exit the alarm setting mode.
  4. When a measurement exceeds the set alarm threshold, the device will emit an audible signal and the display will show a red "WET" indicator.

5.5 Flashlight Function

To activate the integrated flashlight:

  • Press the Flashlight button (often combined with a Down arrow button) to turn the flashlight on.
  • Press it again to turn the flashlight off.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth after each use.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure no moisture enters the device's internal components.

6.2 Storage

  • Store the device in the provided storage bag when not in use.
  • Keep it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
