Setup

1. Physical Installation

1. Ensure your door has a standard peephole.
2. Remove your existing peephole viewer.
3. Insert the outdoor camera unit through the peephole from the outside.
4. From the inside, connect the cable from the outdoor unit to the indoor monitoring panel.
5. Secure the indoor panel to the door using the provided mounting bracket and screws.

Note: The device is designed for easy DIY installation without complex wiring.

2. Powering the Device

• The device is powered by a built-in 5000mAh Lithium Ion battery.
• Before first use, fully charge the battery using the provided MICRO USB cable.
• Connect the USB cable to the charge port on the monitoring panel and to a standard USB power adapter (not included).
• A charging indicator will show the battery status.

3. App Download and Pairing

1. Download the "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" app from your mobile device's app store (iOS or Android).
2. Register for a new account or log in if you already have one.
3. Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. Select "Video Doorbell" or "Smart Camera".
4. Ensure your doorbell is powered on and in pairing mode (refer to the device screen for pairing instructions, usually indicated by a flashing light).
5. Connect your mobile phone to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. The doorbell only supports 2.4GHz WiFi (IEEE 802.11b/g/n).
6. Scan the QR code displayed on your phone with the doorbell camera, or follow alternative pairing methods provided by the app.
7. Once successfully paired, you will be able to view the live feed and control the doorbell via the app.

Operating Instructions

PIR Motion Detection

• The doorbell features an advanced PIR sensor that detects human movement within approximately 16 feet (5 meters).
• When motion is detected, the device will automatically take a picture and/or record a video.
• You will receive instant push notifications with snapshot previews via the Tuya Smart app on your mobile device.
• Note: If PIR motion detection is continuously active, battery life may be reduced. The device can perform approximately 1200 detections on a full battery with PIR enabled.

1080P HD & Smart Night Vision

• The 1080P HD camera provides clear video at 1920x1080 resolution at 25 frames per second.
• Equipped with 3 high-brightness infrared LEDs, the doorbell offers smart night vision, capturing clear images up to 10 meters in complete darkness.
• The system automatically adjusts exposure for optimal visibility in varying light conditions.

Two-Way Audio

Doorbell Function and Recording

• When a visitor presses the doorbell button, the indoor monitoring panel will chime, and a notification will be sent to your Tuya Smart app.
• The doorbell will automatically save a photo or record an audio video of the visitor for later review.
• Recordings are stored on the inserted TF card (up to 128GB) or in the cloud (if subscribed).

Maintenance

Battery Charging

• The doorbell is powered by a rechargeable 5000mAh battery.
• When the battery level is low, a notification will appear on the indoor display and/or via the app.
• Charge the battery using the MICRO USB port on the monitoring panel. A full charge typically takes several hours.
• Battery life varies based on usage, especially PIR motion detection frequency.

Cleaning

• Wipe the camera lens and display screen with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
• Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the surfaces.
• Ensure the outdoor camera unit is free from dust, dirt, or spiderwebs for optimal performance.
