5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance extends the life of your battery and ensures optimal performance of your robot vacuum.
- Regular Charging: For optimal battery health, avoid letting the battery completely discharge for extended periods. Lithium batteries can become inoperative if fully discharged.

- Temperature: Operate and store the battery within the recommended temperature range (50-104°F / 10-40°C) to prevent damage and ensure safety.
- Cleaning: Keep the battery and its contacts clean and free from dust or debris.

6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your replacement battery, consider the following common problems and solutions:
- Battery Not Charging:
- Ensure the battery is correctly installed and its connector is securely plugged in.
- Verify that the charging base or power adapter is functioning correctly and the vacuum is properly docked.
- Check for any debris on the charging contacts of both the vacuum and the charging base.
- Short Run Time:
- Ensure the battery is fully charged before use.
- Over time, all batteries experience degradation. If the battery is old, its capacity may naturally decrease.
- Verify that the vacuum cleaner itself is not experiencing other issues that might draw excessive power.
- Vacuum Not Powering On:
- Confirm the battery is installed correctly and fully charged.
- Check the vacuum's power switch.
- If the issue persists, consult your iHome AutoVac's original user manual for vacuum-specific troubleshooting.
