Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of your SOFTSEA Full Size Murphy Bed with Storage Drawer and USB Charging Station, Model x92. Please read all instructions carefully before assembly and use to ensure safe and proper functionality.

Setup

Unboxing and Parts Identification

Carefully unbox all components and verify against the parts list. Ensure all hardware and panels are present before beginning assembly. Refer to the dimensions image for component identification.

Assembly Instructions

Follow the steps outlined in the assembly video for a smooth installation process. It is recommended to have at least two people for certain steps involving lifting and positioning larger components.

1. Step 1: Attach Drawer Slides. Secure the drawer slides to the designated side panels of the cabinet structure.
2. Step 2: Assemble Main Cabinet Base. Connect the base panels and side panels to form the primary cabinet structure.
3. Step 3: Install USB Charging Station. Integrate the built-in USB charging station into the pre-drilled opening on the cabinet side.
4. Step 4: Assemble Drawer Boxes. Construct the internal drawer boxes using the provided panels and hardware.
5. Step 5: Attach Drawer Fronts and Handles. Secure the decorative drawer fronts and handles to the assembled drawer boxes.
6. Step 6: Install Bed Frame Hinges and Slats. Attach the necessary hinges and bed slats to the foldable bed frame components.
7. Step 7: Attach Bed Frame to Cabinet. Carefully connect the assembled bed frame to the main cabinet structure, ensuring proper alignment and functionality of the folding mechanism.

Operating Instructions

Folding and Unfolding the Bed

The Murphy bed is designed for easy transformation between a compact cabinet and a full-size bed. Follow these steps:

1. To Unfold: Pull the lower drawer section outwards until it is fully extended and stable. Release the side latches on the cabinet doors. Gently lower the bed frame until it is flat and fully supported.
2. To Fold: Lift the bed frame back into the upright position, ensuring it clicks securely into the top latches. Push the lower drawer section back into the cabinet until it is flush.

Using the Storage Drawer

The large storage drawer located at the base of the unit provides convenient space for bedding, pillows, or other items. Simply pull the drawer out smoothly using the handles to access its contents.

Utilizing the USB Charging Station

The built-in charging station on the side of the headboard includes multiple outlets and USB ports for charging electronic devices. Connect your devices as needed to keep them powered conveniently.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.
• Fasteners: Regularly check all screws, bolts, and fasteners to ensure they remain tight. Tighten as necessary to maintain stability.
• Mechanism Check: Periodically inspect the folding mechanism and drawer slides to ensure they operate smoothly. Lubricate if needed with a silicone-based spray. Do not force any components.

Troubleshooting

• Bed not folding/unfolding smoothly: Check for any obstructions in the mechanism's path. Ensure all latches are properly disengaged before unfolding and securely engaged when folding.
• Drawers sticking or difficult to open/close: Verify that the drawer slides are clean and free of debris. Ensure the drawer is not overloaded or unevenly weighted.
• USB charging station not working: Confirm the power cord is securely plugged into a functional wall outlet. Check for any tripped circuit breakers in your home.
