Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper use and care of your Casio G-Shock GW-2320FP Digital Solar Watch. Please read this manual thoroughly to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your timepiece. The GW-2320FP combines robust G-Shock durability with advanced features such as Tough Solar power and Multi Band 6 atomic timekeeping.
Setup
Initial Charging
Your GW-2320FP watch is equipped with Tough Solar technology, which converts light into electrical power. Before initial use, expose the watch face to bright light for several hours to ensure it is sufficiently charged. A low battery indicator may appear if the charge is insufficient.

Time Calibration (Multi Band 6)
The watch automatically receives time calibration signals from up to six transmission stations worldwide to maintain accurate time. For optimal reception, place the watch near a window at night. Manual reception can also be initiated.
- In Timekeeping Mode, hold down the A button (top left) for approximately two seconds until the city code starts to flash.
- Press the C button (bottom left) to cycle through settings until you reach the "RCV" (Receive) setting.
- Press the D button (bottom right) to initiate manual reception. The watch will display "GET" while attempting to receive the signal.
- Once reception is successful, "OK" will be displayed. If reception fails, "ERR" will appear.
Refer to the full Casio module manual for detailed instructions on setting your home city and other timekeeping preferences.

Key Features
Tough Solar Power
The watch is powered by a solar cell that converts light into energy, eliminating the need for regular battery replacement. Ensure the watch is regularly exposed to light to maintain a sufficient charge. The power reserve can last up to 26 months in power-saving mode on a full charge.
Multi Band 6 Atomic Timekeeping
This feature allows the watch to automatically receive time calibration signals from radio transmitters in North America, Europe, Japan, and China, ensuring highly accurate timekeeping wherever you are within range.
Shock Resistance
Built with G-Shock's renowned shock-resistant construction, the GW-2320FP is designed to withstand impacts and vibrations, making it suitable for rugged use.
200-Meter Water Resistance
The watch is water-resistant up to 200 meters (660 feet), making it suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and diving (excluding saturation diving). Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet or submerged.

Electro-Luminescent Backlight
An electro-luminescent panel provides illumination for the display, ensuring readability in low-light conditions. The auto-light function can be enabled to illuminate the display automatically when the watch is tilted towards your face.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For resin bands and cases, a mild soap solution and a soft brush can be used, followed by thorough rinsing and drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
Solar Charging Best Practices
To maintain optimal battery levels, expose the watch to light whenever possible. Avoid storing the watch in dark places for extended periods. If the watch is stored in darkness, the power-saving function will activate, but prolonged darkness can lead to a depleted battery.
Water Resistance Precautions
While the watch is water-resistant, avoid operating buttons underwater. After exposure to saltwater, rinse the watch with fresh water and wipe it dry. Do not expose the watch to hot water or steam, as this can compromise the seals.
Troubleshooting
- Time is incorrect: Ensure your Home City setting is correct. Attempt manual time calibration (refer to "Time Calibration" section). Check if Daylight Saving Time (DST) is set correctly for your region.
- Display is blank or dim: The battery charge may be low. Expose the watch to bright light for several hours to charge it. If the issue persists, the rechargeable battery may need servicing.
- Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a mode that locks button operations. If the watch was recently submerged, ensure it is completely dry.
- No time calibration signal reception: Try placing the watch near a window overnight, away from electronic devices that might interfere with the signal. Ensure your Home City is set to a region that receives a calibration signal.
