3.3 Network Configuration (Wi-Fi Pairing)
The system supports two methods for Wi-Fi configuration:

Figure 3.1: Visual guide for configuring the network connection for the PGST Smart Home Security System.
Method 1 (Soft AP Configure):
- Host Operation: On the control panel, navigate to Menu > Wi-Fi > Soft AP Configure.
- Phone Operation: Open the Smart Life app. Ensure your phone's Wi-Fi is connected to a 2.4GHz network. Enable Bluetooth. In the app, select Add devices and follow the prompts for auto search.
Method 2 (Air Link Configure):
- Host Operation: On the control panel, navigate to Menu > Wi-Fi > Air Link Configure.
- Phone Operation: Open the Smart Life app. Ensure your phone's Wi-Fi is connected to a 2.4GHz network. In the app, select Add devices > Sensors > Alarm (Wi-Fi). Follow the instructions to make the device blink quickly for pairing.
3.4 Pairing Sensors and Accessories
- Access the pairing menu on the main control panel or through the Smart Life/Tuya App.
- Activate each sensor (e.g., open a door/window for a door sensor, trigger a motion detector) to send a signal to the control panel.
- Confirm successful pairing on the control panel display or within the app. Assign a name and location to each sensor for easy identification.
3.5 Installation of Sensors
- Door/Window Sensors: Mount the two parts of the sensor on the door/window frame and the door/window itself, ensuring they are aligned and within 1 cm of each other when closed.
- Motion Detectors: Install motion detectors in corners or areas with clear lines of sight to detect movement, typically 6-8 feet above the floor. Avoid placing them near heat sources or direct sunlight.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Arming and Disarming the System
The system offers three primary modes:
- Arm: Activates all sensors. Ideal when leaving the home.
- Disarm: Deactivates all sensors. Required for normal entry and exit.
- Stay at Home (Partial Arm): Activates perimeter sensors (e.g., door/window sensors) while allowing movement within the home (e.g., motion detectors are inactive).
You can switch modes using the control panel, remote controls, or the Smart Life/Tuya App.

4.2 Scheduled Arm/Disarm
Set specific times for the system to automatically arm or disarm via the Smart Life/Tuya App. This feature saves time and ensures consistent security.
4.3 Emergency (SOS) Function
Press the SOS button on the control panel or a dedicated SOS remote to trigger an immediate alarm and send alerts to pre-set emergency contacts. This feature is particularly useful for elderly individuals or in urgent situations.

Figure 4.2: The SOS button provides a quick way to alert contacts in an emergency, enhancing safety for all household members.
4.4 Alarm Notifications and Calls
When an alarm is triggered, the system will:
- Sound a loud siren.
- Send push notifications to the Smart Life/Tuya App on your smartphone.
- If a 4G GSM card is installed, it will send SMS messages and make calls to up to five pre-set emergency numbers. The system will automatically dial the next number if a line is busy.

Figure 4.3: The system can notify up to five contacts via calls and messages, ensuring no alarm information is missed.
4.5 Voice Control Integration
Integrate your PGST A105F system with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for hands-free control. Once linked, you can use voice commands like "Alexa, Disarm my home" or "Hey Google, Arm the security system."

Figure 4.4: Voice control via Alexa or Google Assistant provides convenient management of your security system.
4.6 Anti-Demolition Alarm Function
The main control panel features an anti-demolition alarm. If the device is forcibly removed from its mounting location, it will beep and send a call or text message to the host, indicating tampering.

Figure 4.5: The anti-demolition feature provides an additional layer of security by alerting you if the main panel is tampered with.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Management
- Wireless Sensors: The wireless door/window sensors and motion detectors are battery-powered. The system will notify you via the app when sensor batteries are low. Replace batteries promptly to ensure continuous protection.
- Main Control Panel: The main control panel is primarily powered by the included adapter. It may contain a backup battery for short power outages (check specific model details for backup battery type and replacement).

Figure 5.1: An example of a low battery alert for a wireless sensor, indicating it's time for replacement.
5.2 Cleaning
Wipe the control panel and sensors with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the devices.
6. Troubleshooting
- System Not Connecting to Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. Verify the Wi-Fi password. If issues persist, try both Soft AP and Air Link configuration methods. Some users have reported better success pairing through the app directly rather than strictly following panel instructions.
- Sensors Not Triggering Alarm: Check sensor battery levels. Ensure sensors are correctly paired and within range of the main control panel. Verify that the system is armed in the appropriate mode (e.g., motion detectors are active in 'Arm' mode, but not 'Stay at Home' mode).
- No App Notifications: Check your phone's notification settings for the Smart Life/Tuya App to ensure notifications are enabled. Verify the control panel has a stable internet connection.
- GSM Calls/SMS Not Working: Ensure the 4G SIM card is correctly inserted, activated, and has sufficient balance. Check network coverage in your area. Verify that emergency contact numbers are correctly programmed into the system.
- False Alarms: Review sensor placement. Motion detectors should be away from direct sunlight, heating vents, or pets that might trigger them. Adjust sensitivity settings if available.
