5. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Wash the water tank, milk frother, and all adapters with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  3. Positioning: Place the machine on a stable, level surface, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
  4. Fill Water Tank: Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water up to the MAX line. Reattach it securely to the machine.
  5. First Use Cycle (Priming): Before first use, perform a rinse cycle without any coffee. Fill the water tank, place a large cup on the drip tray, and run a Lungo cycle (or longest coffee cycle) to flush the system. Repeat this process 2-3 times.

6. Operating Instructions

General Operation:

  1. Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh water.
  2. Plug the machine into a power outlet. The power indicator light will illuminate.
  3. Wait for the machine to heat up (indicator light will stop blinking or turn solid).

Using Coffee Adapters:

The machine automatically detects the inserted adapter and adjusts brewing parameters.

  1. Pull out the adapter tray from the front of the machine.
  2. Insert the desired adapter:
    • K-Cup Adapter: Place a K-Cup pod into the adapter.
    • Nespresso Adapter: Insert a Nespresso-compatible capsule into the adapter.
    • Dolce Gusto Adapter: Insert a Dolce Gusto-compatible capsule into the adapter.
    • Ground Coffee Adapter: Fill the adapter with your preferred ground coffee, ensuring it is not overfilled or tamped too tightly.
  3. Push the adapter tray back into the machine until it clicks into place.
  4. Place your cup on the drip tray.
  5. Select your desired coffee type (e.g., Espresso, Lungo) from the control panel. The machine will begin brewing.

Making Latte or Cappuccino:

  1. Fill the milk frother container with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) up to the MAX line.
  2. Attach the milk frother to the side of the machine, ensuring the dispensing tube is positioned over your cup.
  3. Insert your coffee adapter with the desired coffee (as described above).
  4. Place your cup on the drip tray.
  5. Select 'Latte' or 'Cappuccino' from the control panel. The machine will first brew the coffee, then automatically dispense frothed milk into your cup.
  6. After use, perform the automatic cleaning cycle for the milk frother (see Maintenance section).

7. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee machine.

Daily Cleaning:

  • Drip Tray: Empty and rinse the drip tray after each use or when the indicator floats up.
  • Water Tank: Empty any remaining water and rinse the tank daily. Refill with fresh water before each use.
  • Adapters: Remove and rinse the used adapter after each brew.

Milk Frother Automatic Cleaning:

  1. After making a milk-based drink, place an empty cup under the milk dispensing tube.
  2. Press the dedicated milk frother cleaning button (refer to your control panel for the specific icon).
  3. The machine will flush hot water through the milk tube to clean it.
  4. For thorough cleaning, detach the milk frother container and wash all parts with warm, soapy water.

Descaling:

Descaling is essential to remove mineral buildup and maintain machine efficiency. Perform descaling every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.

  1. Empty the water tank and fill it with a descaling solution mixed according to the manufacturer's instructions, or use a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio).
  2. Place a large container under the coffee spout.
  3. Run several Lungo cycles until the water tank is empty.
  4. Rinse the water tank thoroughly and refill with fresh water.
  5. Run several more Lungo cycles with fresh water to flush out any remaining descaling solution.
