2. Adjusting Speed:
The drill press offers 6 variable speeds, ranging from 850 to 2800 RPM. Use the speed selector dial on the motor housing to choose the appropriate speed for your material and drill bit size. Always adjust speed when the machine is off and unplugged.
3. Adjusting Height and Depth:
The drill head and work table can be adjusted vertically along the column. Loosen the locking knob, adjust to the desired height, and then securely tighten the knob. The depth stop allows for precise and repeatable drilling depths. Set the depth stop to your desired measurement before drilling.

4. Changing Drill Bits:
Ensure the drill press is unplugged. Use the chuck key to loosen the chuck jaws. Insert the drill bit fully into the chuck, then tighten the chuck jaws securely with the chuck key. Remove the chuck key before operating the machine.
5. Using 90° Swivel for Grinding:
The drill head can be tilted 90 degrees to convert the unit for grinding tasks. Loosen the locking mechanism, carefully tilt the drill head to the horizontal position, and secure it. Attach a suitable grinding accessory to the chuck. Always ensure the workpiece is stable and use appropriate safety gear for grinding.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your drill press.
- Cleaning: After each use, unplug the machine and clean off dust and debris from the motor, column, and table using a brush or compressed air.
- Chuck Care: Keep the chuck jaws clean and free of rust. Apply a light coat of machine oil to the jaws periodically.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a light machine oil to the column and other moving parts to ensure smooth operation.
- Carbon Brushes: Check carbon brushes periodically for wear. Replace them when they are worn down to approximately 1/4 inch (6mm) or if the motor performance decreases. Always use genuine replacement parts.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the power cord for damage. Check all fasteners for tightness.
