3. Setup and Installation

The Lockin Veno Plus is designed for easy installation, typically requiring only a screwdriver and about 15 minutes, with no drilling needed for standard setups.

Before installation, ensure your door meets the following specifications:

The lock is compatible with single cylinder deadbolts and rectangular latch plate cutouts. It is not compatible with mortise locks, rounded latch holes, or storm doors.

1. Prepare the door: Ensure the door hole and crossbore meet the specified dimensions.
2. Install the latch and strike plate: Secure the latch into the door edge and the strike plate onto the door frame.
3. Install the exterior assembly: Insert the exterior lock unit into the door, ensuring cables pass through the correct openings.
4. Install the interior mounting plate: Detach the interior mounting plate, battery cover, and silicone plug from the interior assembly. Run the cables through the slot on the mounting plate. Straighten the door status cable carefully to avoid damage. Align and insert the screws, ensuring that the cable is positioned below them without being pinched.
5. Connect cables and install interior assembly: Connect the cables from the exterior unit to the interior assembly. Secure the interior assembly to the mounting plate.
6. Insert battery: Place the fully charged lithium battery into the interior assembly.
7. Test the lock: Verify all unlocking methods function correctly and the lock operates smoothly.

4.1. Unlocking Methods

• Palm Vein: Present your registered palm to the sensor for touchless, rapid unlocking.
• Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor for quick access.
• PIN Code: Enter your unique PIN code on the keypad.
• App Control: Use the Lockin Smart App on your smartphone for remote unlocking and management.
• Voice Control: Integrate with compatible smart home ecosystems (Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings) for voice commands. A Matter over Thread border router hub is required for full voice control functionality.
• Mechanical Key: Use the provided physical keys as a traditional backup method. The key slot is discreetly located.

• Ensure your Wi-Fi network is stable and within range of the lock.
• Restart your home router and the lock (by removing and reinserting the battery).

• For palm vein recognition, ensure your hand is clean and positioned correctly, about 6-8 inches from the camera.
• For fingerprint recognition, ensure your finger is clean and covers the sensor completely.
• Re-enroll your palm or fingerprint in the app if recognition issues persist.

6.4. Battery Depletion

If the battery is completely depleted, you can use a power bank connected to the USB-C port on the bottom of the exterior unit to temporarily power the lock and gain entry. Alternatively, use the mechanical key.
