1. Introduction

The Vacqueen PFF011 Automatic Wi-Fi Pet Feeder is designed to provide scheduled and controlled feeding for your pets. This device offers convenience through app control, voice recording, and a dual power supply system, ensuring your pets are fed consistently.

4. Setup

4.1 Physical Assembly

1. Insert 3 AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment at the bottom of the main unit for backup power.
2. Attach the food hopper to the main unit, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
3. Open the desiccant compartment on the underside of the lid, insert a desiccant bag, and close it securely. Place the lid on the food hopper.
4. Configure the feeding bowls: The feeder supports 1, 2, or 3 stainless steel bowls. Attach the desired number of bowl holders to the base and place the stainless steel bowls into them.
5. Connect the power adapter to the feeder and plug it into a wall outlet.

4.2 Dry Food Compatibility

The feeder is compatible with dry kibble of various shapes, with a recommended diameter of less than 0.47 inches (12mm). Do not use wet pet food or irregularly shaped food to prevent jamming.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 App Installation and Wi-Fi Connection

1. Download the 'Smart Life' app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
2. Register or log in to your Smart Life account.
3. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth, WLAN, and GPS are enabled.
4. Plug in the feeder. The indicator light should be blinking blue. If not, long-press the reset button until it blinks blue.
5. In the app, tap 'Add Device' or the '+' icon. The app should automatically discover the 'Intelligent pet feeder'. Tap to add it.
6. Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network details (5GHz networks are not supported).
7. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.

5.2 Scheduling Feeds

Use the 'Feeding Schedule' option in the app to set up automated feeding times and portion sizes for each bowl. You can customize schedules for specific days of the week.

5.3 Manual Feeding

You can manually dispense food directly from the app or by pressing the manual feed button on the feeder. One short press dispenses one portion. Long-press to continuously dispense food.

5.4 Voice Recording

Record a 10-second voice message through the app. This message will play automatically at each scheduled feeding time to call your pets.

5.5 Slow Feed Function

Activate the 'Slow Feed' function in the app settings. When enabled, one portion of food will be dispensed every 1-minute interval, promoting healthier eating habits.

5.6 Multi-Cat Feeding

The feeder's unique design allows for instant switching between 1, 2, or 3 bowls, making it ideal for multi-pet households. Control exact portions for each feeding zone via the app.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

All detachable components, including the food hopper, lid, and stainless steel bowls, can be easily removed for cleaning. Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth. The stainless steel bowls are dishwasher safe.

6.2 Desiccant Replacement

The color-changing desiccant packs turn pink when damp, indicating they need replacement. Regularly replacing these packs ensures food remains fresh and crunchy.

7. Troubleshooting

• Feeder not connecting to Wi-Fi: Ensure your phone's Bluetooth, WLAN, and GPS are on. Confirm you are using a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Try resetting the feeder by long-pressing the reset button until the indicator light blinks blue.
• Food not dispensing: Check if the food hopper is properly installed and contains enough dry kibble. Ensure the kibble size is within the recommended range. Clean the dispensing mechanism if a jam is suspected.
• Indicator light not on: Verify the power adapter is securely plugged in. If using batteries, ensure they are correctly inserted and not depleted.
• Voice recording not playing: Ensure a voice message has been successfully recorded and saved in the app. Check the app's volume settings.
