3. Setup
Before first use, ensure all components are securely assembled.
3.1 Filling the Sprayer
- Unscrew the pump handle assembly from the tank by turning it counter-clockwise.
- Carefully pour the desired cleaning agent into the tank. Do not exceed the maximum fill line (2 liters).
- Screw the pump handle assembly back onto the tank, ensuring it is tightened securely to prevent leaks.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Building Pressure
- With the tank filled and sealed, pump the handle up and down repeatedly.
- Continue pumping until resistance is felt and the pressure relief valve activates, indicating maximum operating pressure (3 bar) has been reached.
4.2 Adjusting Foam Quality (Vario Foam)
The patented Vario Foam adjustment allows you to customize the foam consistency.
- Locate the Vario Foam adjustment mechanism on the nozzle.
- Turn the adjustment ring or knob to achieve the desired foam thickness, from a thin, wet foam to a thick, clinging foam. Experiment to find the best setting for your application.
4.3 Spraying
- Aim the nozzle at the surface to be cleaned.
- Press the trigger on the handle to release the foam.
- Maintain a consistent distance and motion for even application.
4.4 Releasing Pressure
After use, or before opening the tank, always release any remaining pressure.
- Pull the pressure relief valve (usually a small knob or lever on the pump assembly) until all air has escaped and the hissing sound stops.
5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your sprayer.
5.1 Cleaning After Use
- Empty any remaining chemical solution from the tank.
- Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.
- Fill the tank with clean water and pump it through the sprayer to flush out the nozzle and internal components.
- Release pressure and disassemble the pump and nozzle if necessary for a more thorough cleaning.
- Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling and storing.
5.2 Storage
Store the sprayer in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and freezing temperatures. Ensure it is depressurized and clean before storage.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your SOLO 304 FB sprayer, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No foam or weak foam | Insufficient pressure; clogged nozzle; incorrect Vario Foam setting; chemical too diluted/concentrated. | Pump more to build pressure; clean the nozzle; adjust Vario Foam setting; check chemical dilution ratio. |
| Leaking from pump or seals | Pump assembly not tightened; damaged EPDM seals. | Ensure pump assembly is securely tightened; inspect and replace damaged seals if necessary. |
| Difficulty pumping | Air blockage; worn pump mechanism. | Release pressure and re-pump; contact support if issue persists. |
