4. Setup

4.1. Main Panel Installation

  1. Power Connection: Connect the provided power adapter to the main panel and plug it into a power outlet.
  2. SIM Card Insertion (Optional): If using GSM/4G connectivity, insert a Micro SIM card into the designated slot on the side of the main panel. Ensure the SIM card is active and has sufficient credit/data.
  3. Mounting: Choose a central location in your home for the main panel. It can be placed on a flat surface or mounted on a wall using the provided hardware.

4.2. App Download and Pairing

  1. Download the Smart Life or Tuya Smart application from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
  2. Register for an account or log in if you already have one.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. Select 'Security & Sensor' and then 'Alarm (Wi-Fi)'.
  4. Ensure your main panel is in pairing mode (refer to the panel's display for instructions). Connect the panel to your 2.4GHz WiFi network.
  5. Once paired, you can control the system and receive notifications via the app.

4.3. Sensor Installation

The system includes wireless PIR motion detectors and door/window sensors. These sensors are pre-paired with the main panel in most kits. If not, refer to the main panel's menu for adding new accessories.

  • Door/Window Sensors: Install on doors and windows using the adhesive backing. Ensure the two parts of the sensor are aligned and within 1 cm of each other when the door/window is closed.
  • PIR Motion Detectors: Mount in corners or on walls in areas where intruders are likely to pass. Position them to cover the desired detection area, avoiding direct sunlight or heat sources.

4.4. Anti-Demolition Alarm Function

The main panel is equipped with an anti-demolition feature. If the host unit is forcibly removed from its mounting bracket, it will trigger a local alarm and send a call or text message notification to the owner's pre-set phone numbers.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Arming and Disarming

The system offers three primary modes:

  • Arm Mode: All sensors are active. Any triggered sensor will activate the alarm. Use when leaving the premises.
  • Disarm Mode: All sensors are inactive. The alarm will not trigger.
  • Stay at Home Mode: Typically activates perimeter sensors (e.g., door/window sensors) while allowing movement within the home (e.g., motion sensors are inactive).

You can arm or disarm the system using:

  • The main panel keypad.
  • The remote controls.
  • The Smart Life/Tuya application.
  • RFID tags (by tapping on the RFID area of the main panel).
  • Voice commands (via Alexa or Google Assistant).

5.2. Emergency (SOS) Function

Press the SOS button on the main panel or remote control in an emergency. This will immediately trigger the alarm and send emergency notifications to pre-set contacts.

5.3. Alarm Notifications

When an alarm is triggered, the system will:

  • Activate the siren (120dB).
  • Send push notifications to your smartphone via the app.
  • Send SMS messages to up to 5 pre-set phone numbers.
  • Initiate calls to up to 5 pre-set phone numbers. If a number is busy, it will automatically dial the next reserved number.

5.4. Automatic Arm/Disarm Scheduling

6. Maintenance

6.1. Battery Management

  • Wireless Sensors: The wireless sensors operate on batteries. The system will send a low battery alert to your app when a sensor's battery is running low. Replace batteries promptly to ensure continuous protection.
  • Main Panel Backup Battery: The main panel has a built-in backup battery providing approximately 24 hours of operation during a power outage. Ensure the main panel is always connected to power for optimal performance.
