3. Installation Guide
This smart deadbolt is recommended for wooden doors and fits most US standard doors. It is not compatible with metal doors, rim cylinders, mortise locks, or integrated handle sets.
3.1 Pre-Installation Checks
Before beginning installation, verify your door dimensions:
- Door Thickness: 1-3/8" to 2" (35mm or 50mm)
- Door Hole Diameter: 2-1/8" (54mm)
- Backset: 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" (60mm or 70mm) - adjustable
- Latch Hole Diameter: 1" (25mm)

3.2 Step-by-Step Installation
Install the smart deadbolt using a screwdriver. Follow the instructions provided in the included setup assembly kits. Ensure the deadbolt is installed correctly before inserting batteries.
Note: Install the batteries after the keyless door lock has been installed. If the deadbolt lock cannot be locked or unlocked after installation, try resetting the door lock and connecting the app to change the left and right door opening direction.
3.3 App Connection and Initial Setup
After physical installation, connect the lock to the Tuya App for full functionality and configuration.

- Step 1: Install the batteries after the door lock has been installed, and keep it unlocking.
- Step 2: Add Device, but cannot search the door locks more than 10s.
- Step 3: Return to Home, Click Device Management.
- Step 4: Delete the existing Bluetooth lock.
- Step 5: Again add Device, Auto searching the lock and connecting it. (Or add manually "Lock BLE")
- Step 6: Connection successful. Test locking and unlocking.
- Step 7: If the door lock is not working, please check "More Settings" and change the door opening direction.
4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Unlocking with Fingerprint
Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will unlock within 0.3 seconds if the fingerprint is recognized.

4.2 Unlocking with Passcode
Enter your registered passcode on the keypad. You can also use the anti-peeping function by entering random digits before or after your actual code.

4.3 Unlocking with Smartphone App (Bluetooth)
Within 2 meters of the lock, open the Tuya App on your smartphone. You can unlock the door directly from the app interface.

4.4 Unlocking with Mechanical Key
In case of emergency or battery depletion, use the provided mechanical keys to unlock the deadbolt manually.

The lock can be configured to automatically lock after a specified duration (5-100 seconds) once unlocked. This feature can be set via the Tuya App.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Replacement
The lock is powered by 4 AAA alkaline batteries (not included). When the low battery indicator activates (visible on the lock and via the app), replace all four batteries promptly. The lock also features a Type-C emergency power port for temporary power if batteries are fully depleted.

5.2 Cleaning

- Lock not responding: Check battery level. Replace batteries if low. Use the Type-C emergency power port if needed.

- Fingerprint not recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Re-register your fingerprint if issues persist.
- App connection issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and you are within 2 meters of the lock. Try restarting the app or your phone.
- Keypad not responding: Check for low battery. Ensure no debris is obstructing the buttons.
