This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Hongtop Tracker Device. Designed for real-time location tracking, this mini GPS tracker works exclusively with Apple's Find My network on iOS devices, offering a no-subscription solution for monitoring vehicles, personal items, and pets. Please read this manual thoroughly to ensure proper usage and to maximize the device's functionality.

Setup

1. Battery Activation

The tracker comes with a pre-installed CR2032 battery. To activate the device, remove the white label from the battery compartment. The device will emit a beep sound upon activation.

2. Pairing with Apple Find My App (iOS Only)

1. Ensure your iOS device's Bluetooth is enabled.
2. Open the 'Find My' app on your iPhone or iPad.
3. Tap on the 'Items' tab at the bottom of the screen.
4. Tap '+ Add Item' and then select 'Other Supported Item'.
5. The app will search for nearby compatible devices. Once 'Lahotag' (or similar name) appears, tap 'Connect'.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to name your tracker and assign an emoji.
7. Confirm the connection. Your tracker is now paired and ready for use.

Operating Instructions

1. Locating Your Device

Once paired, you can locate your Hongtop Tracker Device using the Apple Find My app. The app will display the device's location on a map. If the device is nearby, you can tap 'Play Sound' to make it emit a beep, helping you pinpoint its exact location.

2. Lost Mode

If your device is lost, you can enable 'Lost Mode' in the Find My app. This feature allows you to display a custom message and contact number to anyone who finds your tracker. The Find My network, composed of hundreds of millions of Apple devices, can help locate your tracker even if it's far away.

3. Versatile Applications

The mini size and magnetic case make this tracker suitable for various uses:

• Vehicles: Attach it to cars, trucks, bikes, motorcycles, or boats using the magnetic case for anti-theft and anti-loss tracking.
• Personal Items: Track keys, luggage, wallets, backpacks, and other valuables.
• Pets: Monitor the location of pets.

5. Privacy Protection

To protect user privacy, location data and history are never stored directly on the tracker device itself. All tracking is managed through the secure Apple Find My network.

Maintenance

1. Battery Life and Replacement

Each Hongtop Tracker Device uses one CR2032 battery, providing a battery life of up to 1 year under normal usage conditions. When the battery is low, you will receive a notification via the Find My app. To replace the battery, carefully open the device's casing, remove the old CR2032 battery, and insert a new one, ensuring correct polarity. Close the casing securely.

2. Magnetic Waterproof Case Care

The magnetic case is designed to be waterproof and protect the tracker. Regularly inspect the case for any damage or cracks that could compromise its waterproof seal. Clean the case with a damp cloth as needed. Ensure the tracker is securely seated within the case before attaching it to any surface.

Troubleshooting

• Device Not Pairing: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your iOS device and the tracker's battery is activated (white label removed). Try restarting your iOS device and the tracker.
• Inaccurate Location: The accuracy of location tracking depends on the density of Apple devices in the Find My network. In areas with fewer Apple devices, location updates might be less precise.
• No Sound When Nearby: Check that your iOS device's volume is up and that the tracker is within Bluetooth range.
• Short Battery Life: Ensure the battery is new and correctly installed. Extremely frequent location requests or constant movement might slightly reduce battery life.
• Device Not Responding: Try replacing the CR2032 battery with a new one. If issues persist, contact customer support.
