This section provides solutions to common issues you might encounter.

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No hot water (Electric Mode)No 120V AC power; heating element failure; thermostat issue.Check RV's shore power connection and circuit breaker. Verify 120V AC supply. Consult a qualified technician if element or thermostat is suspected.
No hot water (Gas Mode)No propane supply; igniter failure; gas valve issue; thermostat issue.Check propane tank level and ensure gas valve is open. Verify 12V DC power to the igniter. Press the reset button if available. Consult a qualified technician.
Water not hot enoughIncorrect temperature setting; high demand; low water flow.Adjust temperature setting on the control panel to a higher level (e.g., 140°F). Allow more recovery time between uses. Ensure adequate water pressure.
Unit not turning onNo 12V DC power; incorrect wiring; faulty control panel.Check 12V DC battery connection and fuse. Verify wiring connections as per the diagram. Press the reset button.
Foul odor from hot waterBacterial growth in the tank (common with magnesium anode rods). The FOGATTI unit uses a titanium anode rod which minimizes this issue. If odor persists, flush the tank with a chlorine solution (consult RV plumbing guide).
