Setup

1. Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the bike for any signs of damage during transit. Ensure all included accessories (battery, charger, tools, keys, locks, pump, throttle) are present as listed in the product specifications.

2. Handlebar and Pedal Installation

Your bike may arrive with the handlebars folded or detached. Unfold or attach the handlebars, ensuring they are securely fastened. Install the pedals, noting that the left pedal (L) and right pedal (R) are threaded differently. Tighten them firmly using the provided tool.

3. Battery Installation and Charging

The battery is typically located within the frame or on the rear rack. To install or remove the battery:

  1. Open the lock and lift the seat to access the battery compartment.
  2. Insert the key into the battery lockhole and rotate it to the left to unlock it.
  3. Carefully pull the battery out or insert it until it clicks into place.

Before first use, fully charge the battery. Connect the charger to the battery charging port and then to a power outlet. The indicator light on the charger will change when charging is complete. Charging time may vary.

2. Riding Modes

The KOOLUX BK6 offers three riding modes:

  • Pedal-Assist Mode: The motor provides assistance as you pedal. Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the display to adjust the level of assistance.
  • Pure Electric Mode (Throttle): Engage the throttle for motor power without pedaling. This mode is ideal for quick acceleration or when you need a break from pedaling.
  • Manual Mode: Ride the bike like a traditional bicycle, without any motor assistance.

3. Gear Shifting

The Shimano 7-speed system allows you to adjust your pedaling effort to suit different terrains. Shift gears smoothly by pedaling lightly while operating the shifter. Downshift for climbing hills and upshift for flat terrain or descents.

4. Braking

The bike is equipped with dual disc brakes for reliable stopping power. Apply both brake levers simultaneously for effective and controlled braking. Practice braking in a safe area to get accustomed to the bike's stopping distance.

5. Folding and Unfolding

The KOOLUX BK6 features a quick-fold design for easy storage and transport. Follow the instructions in the quick-start guide or refer to online tutorials for the specific folding mechanism. Ensure all folding latches are securely engaged when unfolding the bike before riding.
