The FLUENTPOWER Cordless Stick Water Transfer Pump is a portable, battery-powered utility pump designed for efficient water transfer in various applications. It features a brushless motor, adjustable flow settings, and a telescopic pole for versatile use.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The pump is compatible with Makita 18V 4.0/6.0 Ah batteries and FLUENTPOWER 18V 4.0 Ah batteries. Battery and charger are not included.

  1. Open the waterproof battery compartment lid.
  2. Insert a charged 18V battery into the battery slot, ensuring it clicks into place.
  3. Close the battery compartment lid securely to ensure a waterproof seal before use.

3.2 Adjusting the Telescopic Pole

The telescopic pole can be adjusted from 3.5 feet to 4.5 feet to suit different water depths.

  1. Loosen the rotary clamp adjustment.
  2. Extend or retract the aluminum tube to the desired length.
  3. Tighten the rotary clamp adjustment to secure the pole in position.

3.3 Connecting a Hose

The pump features a 3/4" outlet for easy connection to standard garden hoses.

  1. Attach your garden hose directly to the 3/4" outlet.
  2. Alternatively, use the included quick-connect adapter for faster hose attachment.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

The pump operates via a manual switch on the control panel.

  1. Ensure the pump head is fully submerged in the liquid you wish to transfer.
  2. Press the power button on the control panel to turn the pump ON.
  3. Press the power button again to turn the pump OFF.

WARNING: Do not allow the pump to run dry. Dry running can cause severe damage to the motor and internal components.

4.2 Adjusting Flow Rate

The pump offers three adjustable flow settings:

Use the flow rate adjustment button on the control panel to cycle through the settings.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Anti-Clogging Filter

The removable strainer filter prevents clogging by blocking heavy debris. Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance.

  1. Disconnect the battery from the pump.
  2. Remove the anti-clogging filter from the bottom of the pump head.
  3. Rinse the filter thoroughly with clean water to remove any accumulated debris.
  4. Reattach the filter securely to the pump head.

5.2 Storage

After each use, ensure the pump is clean and dry before storing. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and freezing temperatures. Remove the battery if storing for extended periods.

5.3 Corrosion Resistance

The pump features an aluminum telescoping tube, which offers excellent rust resistance while remaining lightweight.

6. Troubleshooting

Pump does not turn on.Battery not installed correctly.
Battery is depleted.
Power button not pressed firmly.
Ensure battery is fully seated.
Charge the battery.
Press the power button firmly.
Low or no water flow.Anti-clogging filter is blocked.
Pump not fully submerged.
Hose is kinked or blocked.
Battery charge is low.
Clean the anti-clogging filter.
Ensure pump head is completely submerged.
Check hose for kinks or obstructions.
Recharge the battery.
Pump turns on briefly then shuts off (amber light flashing).Thermal overload protection activated (due to overheating or dry running).
Pump believes it is not submerged.
Ensure pump is fully submerged. Allow pump to cool down. Avoid dry running.
Verify full submersion and clear any air pockets.
Water leaking from connections.Hose not securely attached.
Damaged O-ring or connection.
Ensure hose is tightly connected to the 3/4" outlet.
Inspect and replace any damaged seals or connectors.
