6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.

6.1 Cleaning the Water Tank

  • Empty the water tank as described in Section 5.4.
  • Rinse the tank with clean water. For thorough cleaning, use a mild detergent and a soft brush, then rinse thoroughly.
  • Dry the tank completely before reinserting it into the unit to prevent mold or mildew growth.

6.2 Cleaning the Exterior

  • Wipe the exterior of the dehumidifier with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the surface.

6.3 Air Filter Cleaning (Recommended)

Although not explicitly detailed in product features, most dehumidifiers benefit from regular air filter cleaning to maintain efficiency. Locate the air intake grille (usually on the back or sides) and gently remove any visible dust or debris with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner. If a removable filter is present, clean it according to the manufacturer's instructions (typically rinsing with water and air-drying).
