Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to perform a blood glucose test:
- Clean and Dry Your Hands: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water. Dry them completely.
- Prepare the Lancing Device: As described in the Setup section, ensure your lancing device is ready with a fresh lancet.
- Insert the Test Strip: Remove a test strip from its vial and immediately close the vial cap tightly. Insert the test strip into the meter's test strip port. The meter will turn on automatically and display a blood drop symbol.
- Collect Blood Sample: Place the lancing device firmly against the side of your fingertip. Press the release button to prick your finger. Gently milk your finger from the base to the tip to form a small drop of blood.
- Apply Blood Sample: Touch the tip of the test strip to the blood drop. The strip will automatically draw the blood into the absorbent hole. Do not apply blood to the top of the strip.
- Get Result in 5 Seconds: The meter will begin a 5-second countdown. After the countdown, your blood glucose result will be displayed on the large screen.
- Eject Test Strip & Lancet: Remove the used test strip from the meter and dispose of it properly. Carefully remove the lancet from the lancing device using its protective cap and dispose of it in a sharps container.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your LinkSun G-425-3 Blood Glucose Monitor, refer to the following common questions and solutions:
Q1: Why do results vary between brands?
Each brand uses unique algorithms and strip technologies. All ISO 15197 certified devices meet clinical accuracy (±15% deviation from lab reference). Differences within ±15% are considered valid.

Understanding variations in blood glucose readings across different brands.
Q2: Why do home and hospital results differ?
A standard range of ±15% difference is normal per ISO. Home tests typically use finger capillary whole blood, while hospital tests use venous plasma. These different sample types can lead to variations.

Q3: What is control solution for?
Control solution checks if your meter and strips are working properly by simulating a blood test. To use: Insert a strip when the meter is off, press "M" for CTL Mode, apply 1 drop to the test strip. Compare the result to the range on the control solution bottle.
