3.1 Unboxing

The flashlight offers 4 standard brightness levels and two special modes:
- Standard Modes: Cycle through various brightness levels with a half press of the tail button when the light is on.
- SEARCH Mode: From off, half press and hold the Tactical Tail Button to access SEARCH mode (1500 Lumens, 380m range). Release to turn off. Note: SEARCH mode is unavailable in Full Lockout Mode.
- LUMIN SHIELD: From off, full press and hold the Tactical Tail Button to activate LUMIN SHIELD (3500 Lumens). Release to turn off.

5. Lockout Modes
The EDC31 features a Rapid Lock™ mechanism to prevent accidental activation:
- Half Lockout Mode: Slide the Rapid Lock™ to the first position. This prevents accidental full presses but allows access to momentary SEARCH and LUMIN SHIELD modes.
- Full Lockout Mode: Slide the Rapid Lock™ to the second position. This completely disables all functions of the flashlight, preventing any accidental activation.
- Unlock: Slide the Rapid Lock™ back to the unlocked position to resume normal operation.

6. Charging
The EDC31 is equipped with a built-in 3,800mAh Li-ion battery and a USB-C charging port.

- Locate the USB-C charging port on the flashlight.
