3.3 Basic Display Understanding

Upon powering on, the LCD screen will display the current Carbon Monoxide (CO) concentration in parts per million (ppm), temperature in degrees Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F), and relative humidity (%RH). The battery level indicator is also visible on the screen.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Monitoring CO, Temperature, and Humidity

The device continuously monitors CO levels, temperature, and humidity. Readings are updated in real-time on the LCD screen. Ensure the device is placed in an area where air can freely circulate for accurate readings.

4.2 Alarm Functions

The detector is equipped with an audible, visual (light flashing), and vibration alarm. When CO concentration reaches a dangerous level, the alarm will activate to alert you. Refer to the specifications for alarm thresholds.

4.3 Adjusting Screen Brightness

The screen brightness can be adjusted to suit different lighting conditions. Refer to the device's menu options (accessed via the 'M' button) to find the brightness setting.

4.4 Switching Temperature Units

You can switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) for temperature display. This option is typically found within the device's settings menu.

4.5 Low Battery Reminder

When the battery level is low, a low battery icon will appear on the screen, and an audible reminder may sound. Recharge the device promptly to ensure continuous operation.

4.6 Sensor Lifespan

The CO sensor in this device has an estimated lifespan of 10 years under normal operating conditions. Regular maintenance and proper storage can help maximize its longevity.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Clean the device regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or strong chemicals, as these can damage the casing or internal components. Ensure the sensor openings are free from dust and debris.

5.2 Battery Care

The device uses a built-in 1000mAh Lithium Ion battery. To prolong battery life:

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Recharge the device when the low battery indicator appears.
  • If storing the device for an extended period, charge it to about 50% and recharge every few months.

5.3 Storage

Store the detector in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity. Keep it away from corrosive gases or chemicals that could affect sensor performance.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Device Does Not Power On

  • Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged. Connect the device to a power source and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on again.
  • Verify that the power button is pressed and held for the required duration.

6.2 Inaccurate Readings

  • Ensure the sensor openings are not obstructed by dust or debris. Clean the device as per maintenance instructions.
  • Avoid placing the device near strong air currents, vents, or sources of high heat/humidity, which can affect readings.
  • If CO readings seem consistently high without a known source, evacuate the area and seek professional assistance.

6.3 Alarm Sounds Continuously

  • If the CO alarm sounds, immediately move to fresh air and ventilate the area. Do not ignore CO alarms.
  • If the alarm sounds without a detectable CO source, the sensor may be faulty or require calibration. Contact customer support.
