6. Operating the String Trimmer

The 10-inch cordless string trimmer is designed for trimming grass and edging lawns. Ensure the battery is fully charged before use.

  • Trimming: Hold the trimmer firmly with both hands. Keep the cutting head parallel to the ground and move it in a sweeping motion.
  • Edging: For precise edging, utilize the auxiliary wheel. Position the trimmer so the wheel rests on the pavement or hard surface, guiding the cutting line along the edge of the lawn.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your lawn care tools.

  • Cleaning: After each use, clean the mower deck and trimmer head of grass clippings and debris. Use a dry cloth or soft brush. Do not use water directly on electrical components.
  • Blade Inspection (Lawn Mower): Periodically check the mower blade for sharpness and damage. A dull or damaged blade can affect cutting performance and may need sharpening or replacement.
  • String Replacement (String Trimmer): Replace the trimmer line as needed. Refer to the trimmer's specific manual for instructions on how to replace the string spool.
  • Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not store fully discharged batteries for extended periods.
